Ok, on Monday I picked up a 2005 CTS-V, 35,000 miles, interior is in really great shape aside from some paint rubbing off the nav buttons which I guess is common. Exterior is probably an 8, there are a few scratches (where he debadged it) and really small chips but nothing major. I'm debating putting the V badges back on, he gave them all to me.
Mods: 20% tint all around, thinking of changing to 35% Black powercoated stock rims Magnuson supercharger kit, 6.5psi B&M short shifter, poly bushings Kooks long tube headers, gutted cats, corsa catback Dyno tuned on a mustang dyno, made about 445rwhp I was told On to the pics: http://mitsustyle.com/forums/attachm...1&d=1248967513 http://mitsustyle.com/forums/attachm...1&d=1248967513 I'll get some under hood pics in the next day or two and post them up. |

Sweet. I would be interested to see how that feels on the but-O-Meter. Not sure what the weight is but I bet it just shreds the tires when you get on it.

I paid $24,000. Found a few stock ones with similar miles for a bit less, but I figured the extra $1000 was worth the mods.
I haven't turned off the stability or traction control yet, it's my first RWD vehicle and I'm trying not to wreck it. Peter gave it some gas in 2nd around a tight corner and the back end started to slide but came back pretty quick with the stability control. Right now it has 265 wide cooper something or other in front, and 275 falken 452 in the rear, so it seems to grip pretty well. Car weighs about 3850 from the factory. I wish they were evo8 rims, be easier to find cheap ones. These are 6 lug though. |

It came back because I counter steered. :) I could def feel the traction control kicking in though. Good times! lol

Nice car! What motor is exactly in that? Is that considered a Northstar engine? I heard they are camless, could be a rumor.

Thanks for the correction SuperBleeder, I am really not familiar with anything besides 4g63, I have a lot to learn about this car yet.
I did buy it from Tom, guess he wasn't 100% honest about the power it made, but that doesn't really bother me, still decently fast. Where did he dyno it at? |

I think the wheels are pretty nice in black, and constant project - even the first cts's with v6 engines had manuals.
BTW, factory rev limiters sound so non-agressive, lol. "wham wham wham wham" |
