Like the title states i want a ride in something ridiculously fast, preferably 500+ HP, dont care what it is really just looking for a good fun ride.

Ill even be willing to throw in 20 bucks for gas and effort.

Getting a ride in something fast only makes your car feel that much slower when you get back in it and floor and it doesn't do what you just rode in. haha

I couldn't agree more. A couple days ago I went to watch a stock looking FD do a few dyno pulls. It made 810whp and about 660tq on a turboed 20B Rotary motor... The sound alone made my vr4 feel like joke. Camera couldn't handle it lol. My ears were about to blow up too. I'd be satisfied if I could at least create my own flamethrower like at 1:01.

Dont do it.. I rode in my friends 1127 RWHP Twin turbo camaro 8.8 car, His 1311 RWHP supra 8.3 car, and another Friends 1000 RWHP Cobra 8.8 car.. Its cool but when you get back in your car it does make it feel soooo slow.. I actually lost interest in cars hahaha It took me a yr or so to get back that feeling that 500hp was kinda fun! up untill then 500hp cars were kinda boring.. :(

We did a couple pulls in my car awhile back! I'd give you another but the car isn't running at full potential right now. Still has a small missfire sometimes.

Sooo true. Fast marks car hauled ass, and riding around with Nate when he raced those guys made everything seem slow. I assume you are talking about jake?

Ya jon v8 fc is very fast. He ran a Mitsubishi eclipse that runs 10.8sec in the 1/4 and got him by 5 or 6 car.

700+awhp on anything but a drag strip is pointless. It is entertaining at first, but something about ripping street tires loose at 50+mph is excessive.

yea that was fun, it sparked some good interest in my own car, but i was under the impression it wasn't running up to full potential at that point either. however it was still very fun

also i think i would also like some good fun corners as well, but thats up to who ever is willing to offer up a ride.

Yeah you're right, it wasn't running perfect (I'd guess more around 500hp maybe), but it was still quick enough to run that 10.93 a couple days later, and I really didn't change all that much from when we did our pulls, so it was apparently still running OK.

well thats cause your used to it, i think its like that for almost everyone who has something fast for a while.

but im not accustomed to 450 whp so that for me would be fast, and i know my car will be close.

a ride in a viper would be extremly fun, if your going to the track sometime and wouldnt mind having somone riding with i will totaly take you up on that

I know there is a guy named Pat who lives in Mankato and has a black FC with a LT1 swap, took it up to BIR once. Dont remember exactly what he ran but it was somewhere around 12.0@122 or so.
Another one of my friends just moved back home to Bemidji from Mankato, he had a blue FC with a LS1 swap, layed down like 402rwhp on motor. Ran a best of 12.7@119, spinning 3/4 of the track.

For me, I think riding in a "stronger or better" vehicle will give me more inspiration to build my car. Even if it's not "fast", I will love my car even more just because I know where I'm at with other cars out there.

I agree with you. sometimes when I'm not very motivated to work on my car it's nice to get a ride in someones car that is faster than mine. that makes me want to get my car going again and do what I can to make it faster

My Wife does agree, plus she likes the '05 vipers a bit better than the old vipers so keep buying and selling till you can make more money.

Plus if she gets bored of my DSM there is always my gorgeous Z car that is she working on while I am away.

Could have had a 05 but Gen2 (96-02) > Gen 3 (03-06). The newer style doesn't cost any more and is generally in less demand. Could have had a 04 with 10k on it locally for the same price as my 02 with 7k I got in Chicago. My car was considered a steal at the time.

Didn't buy my car to have the fastest thing around. Wanted something fairly quick and relaible. If I want to make it faster, I could get it past 600whp without even having to worry about the reliability side or having to worry about the tune on the car.

You said that a 16g car is = to a viper. I think that you are the only one who agrees. If I gave constant project a choice, $1400 for the 92 GSX - white, 16g, FMIC, rims, etc (car he bought from me) and my viper, I can guarantee he would chose the viper.

If you look at threads on here (ie healthcare) it is other people who bring up my car(s). I was in the DSM game for several years back in the day. Only thing I hold against them is reliability when modded. Proof of this would be how many people's cars arent running. I did the whole 60 trim thing ~6 years ago, didn't have the time to keep the car up while going to college. My old car is what Swifty is driving.

You are the one who keeps bringing up "penis" on all of the threads so maybe you are the one trying to compensate for something.

There is nothing special about an "05" viper, same dam car as in 03. There will always be a better car on the road so I don't care what people think of my car. You and your wife like your DSM, I like my viper. I don't see what your issue is.

If I didn't care about what is going on with DSMs I wouldn't be on here.
