FS: 10sec 91 TSi AWD

As sad as it makes me, I feel the time has come. I know this won't sell quick, but I'm just trying to get the word out there in case anyone knows anyone interested.

Car is basically rust free. It was a Nevada/Arizona car until I brought it here in 2005. Since then, it has been garaged every winter to keep it rust free which makes working on it so much easier (no rusty bolts to break loose).

Here's a rundown of the car. I'm sure I'm going to forget somethings, but should cover most of it.

ENGINE MODS:
Eagle/Mahle 2.0L
2G Head (Ported intake runners to match 1G SMIM)
ARP L19's
OEM composite HG
HKS 272's
JMF SMIM
SLS T3 Mani
S362 (.70AR t3)
ETS FMIC (2.5" piping)
Forge BOV
Tial 44mm
3" SS V-band exhaust
1GNT Throttle Body
Dynatek Arc-2 ignition box
Grounding Kit
Mini Battery setup
PLX Wideband
DSMLink V2 w/ USB Cable (no laptop)
Mishimoto Alum Radiator w/ 2 10" FAL slim fans
Mishimoto Rad Cap
4" CAI
Evo8 MAS
KN Filter
PTE 1600's
Dual intank Walbro 255hp's
Golan -6 fuel filter
-6 nylon braided fuel feed
Aeromotive AFPR (pushlock)
JMF dual chamber catchcan setup
Emissions removed
Hallman MBC
Taylor 10mm plug wires (NGK plugs)
Tuned for E85
Tubular front crossmember
External Oil Cooler (pushlock)

DRIVETRAIN MODS:
TRE Stage 1.5 tranny w/ 4-spider center diff (just sent it in to Dogbox a couple months ago to ensure all is still well and they found no issues)
ACT2900 PP w/ Clutchnet 6-puck sprung disc
New (appx 500 miles) Napa front axles
Shifter cable bushings (engine bay)
Shifter base bushings (interior)
Eibach Sportlines
KYB AGX's
3sx adjustable rear arms
Cobra front brake conversion.
4-Bolt Rear
Jay Racing Active Rear Toe Eliminator kit

INTERIOR MODS:
JVC CD deck
PLX wideband gauge
SW Boost gauge
Greddy EGT gauge
Apexi Turbo Timer
Evo Shift Knob

EXTERIOR MODS:
92 rear bumper/tail light conversion
Tinted Tails (TKR)
17" Rota Boost rims
Sumitumo HTR Z3 tires (235/45)
Front clear corners
CF Hood (w/ CarbonTrix Vent)
Maaco paint job (stock color black cherry)

Car made 541awhp at DB tuned by Shane at 35psi. Week later with no changes made 628awhp at MAP. Tune has since changed though. Turbo has plenty more PSI to play with :)

Best pass so far I've made is 10.9 @ 137. With that trap speed, a good driver should be able to get a lower ET. I'm just a newb to the track.

The bads:
- Car pushes coolant when running it hard. Chances are it's finally time to upgrade from the OEM composite gasket.
- On decel, RPM's drop slightly, need to pay attention to this
- Needs allignment
- Front tires rub on fender, need to roll the fenders. I have 2 brand new Sumitomo's to replace the current front tires that have "rubbed"
- I would consider getting the XFR case rebuilt because it seems to be a little sloppy to me, but I'm no expert on them, just a thought.
- Needs A/C belt

Parts that will be included with the sale:
- 2 new driveshaft carrier bearings ($100+ each from the dealer)
- Beatrush driveshaft solid bushings
- 1qt Redline MT-90 and 1qt Redline Heavy Duty Shockproof

Car still has A/C (converted to freeze12), power steering, power windows/locks. I've tried to keep as many of the creature comforts as possible, but did remove the Cruise Control last year. Other than that, still has the other creature comforts.

Car itself has 123k on the odometer.

Again, I'm sure I've forgotten some things, but that gives you an idea of what this is. If you are interested to talk about it, please feel free to call me. 612 384 1425 is my cell phone number.

You need to understand what you are getting. I'm happy to help explain what has been done to this car, but once it's yours, it's yours. Things will break, things do need attention and need to be tweaked. That's simply how it is with a car like this.

Asking for $7500 as-is.

Test drives are welcome, but on a case by case basis. I'm not going to just let anyone and their mom come take it for joyrides. I better be convinced you are interested. I'm not in a hurry to sell this either, so if you feel the need to completely low ball me, understand I'm in no hurry

One of the cars I would hate to see in ownership of another person... :(
Good luck with the sale. But I hope you change your mind.

Re: FS: 10sec 91 TSi AWD

Yeah, it's simply just me reaching a point in my life where I don't have the time that a car like this requires. It's fun as hell, it's been a blast getting it to where it is, but now in my life there are other things that are important also, and I can't dedicate the time to this like I've been able to in the past. Instead I'll be looking at something like a 350Z or C5 vette with some bolt-ons if I do get another toy car.

It will be sad to see it go, but I've thought long and hard about this, and in the end I feel like it's the right thing for me.

This car makes a great battery charger! :D

Good luck with the sale, man, I'll be sad to see it go.

Re: FS: 10sec 91 TSi AWD

That 350z would be sweet, but I'm sure by the time I sell this, that'll be sold. Plus I may go without a "toy car" for awhile before getting something else.

Bump, it's spring and I just got it out of storage. Still for sale. Will be getting the 4bolt rear installed here in the next couple weeks also. Also a fresh mini battery and a grounding kit installed.

*ahem, buy me scheides, ahem*

Re: FS: 10sec 91 TSi AWD

Price lowered to $7500

Also some additional mods will be added to the list. A tubular front crossmember will be installed on the front, and I'm installing an Active Rear Toe Eliminator kit soon as well.

Less money and more mods!!

I'll give ya 5k cash. Have money in hand. Or will possibly trade a black 2009 Buell 1125cr if interested.

Re: FS: 10sec 91 TSi AWD

Thanks for the interest, but I am going to politely decline that offer.

Buyer backed out. Guess I shoulda taken a deposit.

Car is still for sale. If it doesn't sell somewhat soon, I will more than likely be parting it.

Are you just looking for cash, or are you done with DSMs/Cars?

Done with cars, no way haha. I bolded the part that fits me. Just done with this platform :) The sooner I get money for this, the sooner I get to buy a new toy car :D

Next OT post in this thread gets a 1 month ban. I'm tired of cleaning this thread up; deleted posts out number remaining posts 2:1. If you aren't interested in buying Brandon's car don't post, he can handle the bumps by himself.

Halon 07-05-2010 08:27 PM

Re: FS: 10sec 91 TSi AWD

Mod list updated on first page to reflect the Tubular Front Crossmember that has now been installed. Also the Jay Racing Active Rear Toe Eliminator kit has just been installed by Primo.

Re: FS: 10sec 91 TSi AWD

Front fenders are rolled. Hopefully this clears up the tire rubbing issue.

Still for sale!!

Halon 08-09-2010 08:23 PM

Re: FS: 10sec 91 TSi AWD

Well so far just a bunch of tire kickers, no cash.

I decided to throw it up on ebay, but will still entertain offers and end the auction early if someone here is interested:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/10-se...US_Cars_Trucks

If I can't get what I'm asking, it will more than likely be parted out.

I'll get the ball rolling here.

Re: FS: 10sec 91 TSi AWD

Ha nice Steve! Looks like you've been outbid though.

1 more day on ebay. There is a reserve set on it, and if the final bid doesn't even come close to the reserve, then expect to see a part-out thread shortly...

Re: FS: 10sec 91 TSi AWD

I love how your car got a 14 on its rating scale.... What a fucking joke!

Re: FS: 10sec 91 TSi AWD

I'm not even sure what that number means? Per their report, there was nothing negative against it.

Goat Blower 08-15-2010 10:21 PM

Re: FS: 10sec 91 TSi AWD

Honestly, speaking from experience, you're way better off parting it out. I ended up about getting almost as much for my parts as I was asking for the whole car. Plus, putting about $1000 back into it in parts, I'll now have a nice driving 16G car to just keep and enjoy. You don't want to pull a Cher and be back on here a year from now wishing you could find a nice clean 1G. :D

Halon 08-16-2010 05:13 PM

Re: FS: 10sec 91 TSi AWD

It appears that the car is not going to be sold on Ebay for even close to what I'm asking.

Mods please close. Look for part-out thread shortly...
