If by cheap you mean 'works for food' then hell yes. There's currently a profit margin of about $0 on these events, from the members, for the members.

If someone has the equipment and would commit to doing it, it would be awesome. As it is, I usually bring THREE CARS full of food, pop, tables, chairs, tent, etc etc etc and it is a lot of work. As it stands, there's almost no way I could pull this off without a lot more help. Volunteers warmly welcomed! PM me.

A MNNissan dyno day at our shop had a DJ setup. A mic to announce power might be nice, but random music gets old, especially since no body likes the same music.

I bet we could find some music that would be alright to play, keep the volume down and let it be more of an atmosphere thing, then crank up the volume for announcements and such.

Peter, what do you have? A couple of powered speakers w/ stands and a mic would go a looong ways!

Pioneer amp and 4 giant 3 way bookshelf speakers with 15s. We use them in our island parties in the summer. They rock. :) Pretty sure the amp has a mic in.

If I could get ahold of my friend, we have a mixer that has up to 15 inputs and a 15" monitor speaker on a tripod stand that would be perfect for announcing power numbers, and could also be set up to play music.

I agree that an announcer would be a nice addition... Quiet music during car swapping maybe. Constant music would be annoying after a short while, specially during pulls and while announcing stuff.

Ha Scooter thats where its at! If Techno, House, Electronic, Trance is needed you name it i got it ;) Throw some crazy Tokyo Drift Party While Were at it LOL! While we are on the subject of music, announcements etc. A Camera person with some Highquality equipment, would probably be a wise addition. Get some nice footage. A documentary idk something nice.

Show the rest of the world how Mitsu Style kicks it. It would also be good advertisement as well. Just my .02cents.

I'm trying to see what I can do for a digital camcorder. I'll see if I can edit something like that or better...... but I don't think I'll make it to a dyno day this year!! :P
