Re: screw swifty time to pick on spaz
spaz
needs to check the lugs on his car and the brakes before going on any of the cruises brake jobs in the parking lot FTW ;) |
Re: screw swifty time to pick on spaz
Stop fucking your strut towers with the rubber fist, then using it on yourself, without your tetnis shots.
|
Re: screw swifty time to pick on spaz
Well I know for sure Spaz needs to learn how to drive. I damn near hit him from him spinning out on the cruise!
|
Re: screw swifty time to pick on spaz
How many attempted parking lot brake jobs on cruises now? Are we at 50%?
^ You think YOU did? I was right behind him. Someone else is following spaz on the next cruise. I care too much about my car. |
Re: screw swifty time to pick on spaz
Hahaha yeah. The funny thing about that, is as we were on the way to auto zone in the morning, we were going around a cloverleaf and he was bragging about how usefull autocross knowledge is on the street. Hahaha How's that workin out for ya?

Re: screw swifty time to pick on spaz

Re: screw swifty time to pick on spaz
you know I would watch how you title your thread...spaz might actually screw swifty.
|
Re: screw swifty time to pick on spaz
I doubt spaz has even changed out his cracked rotors he had during the last cruise.
|
Re: screw swifty time to pick on spaz
Oh, you mean the ones he originally fucked to hell going through Jay Cooke on the way to Duluth 2 years ago? hahaha

Nope, still got 'em. That's next on my list.

Re: screw swifty time to pick on spaz
Well, at least Charles:
- has a car that's all one color - didn't build an engine that smokes like a chimney - fixes his own shit when he can - actually knows the limits of his car - doesn't rely on money to be competitive AND he takes this shit from you guys. You can't claim 'all in fun' and then make fun of someone (especially their car) without incurring some kind of negativity. |

Re: screw swifty time to pick on spaz
-How does he know the limits of his car? Ending up in the ditch inst exactly a good thing.
-Also I believe Mark did most of the work on his car lately. -And I dont think hes ever built an engine regardless. And not replacing that cracked rotor that you discovered on the fall cruise?? Redonk and dangerous. |
Re: screw swifty time to pick on spaz
I can’t speak for Spaz’s other qualifications; I just don’t know him very well. However, having had a front row seat to the event (the aforementioned spin), I suggest that everyone (including Spaz) is making it a much larger happenstance than it really was. The speed was not exceptionally great, but the breaking could have been more linear or happened before the corner. He was into it, but at so great a level that I felt afraid for my personal safety..................... until the wheel started coming loose....:crapper:

I don't get the mechanic vs non-mechanic, racer vs non-racer, and poor vs rich sentiment...which amazingly has shown up all in the same thread. If you're using a car for more than transportation and you're not a mechanic for pay then this is a f-ing hobby! Some people take themselves way too seriously, imo. |
Re: screw swifty time to pick on spaz
Do you have to auto x to actually be a good driver? Because there are other people that went on the cruise that pushed it probably harder than spaz did and we stayed on the road. :)

- So? I helped. I also wouldn't have been there at all (not that you would have minded any) if Mark hadn't been nice enough to make time for me. - Nope, never. Doesn't mean I wouldn't do it myself if given the chance. Rotor turned out to be a surface crack, it's pretty much gone now. That's not justification for not replacing it, but it is at the top of my list. Now that I've finally had decent hours for the past few pay periods I can afford to take care of it. Quote:

Re: screw swifty time to pick on spaz
And if I remember correctly, Peter was towards the back of the pack the entire way there in his magical super cool Porsche ;). Not saying he wasn't driving aggressively, just probably not as aggressively as some of the people closer to the front.

Re: screw swifty time to pick on spaz
^I've seen it go full throttle down 35w once, well up 35w. lol.
Cars are meant to be driven, if you don't want to learn then I don't know what u are doing here. But hey I don't any other hobby where you can throw money at something and become the cool kid overnight. Spaz, thanks for clearing that up. |
Re: screw swifty time to pick on spaz
I don't get why conversations on this site almost always turn into some sort of dick measuring competition...who cares how good a person is at driving, or how fast their cars are, or how much money they have to drop on cars. We are all on the site, and fix, build, enjoy (visually and by driving), because we enjoy doing it. None of us are professional drivers, and none of us really claim to be. I can understand a bit of shit talking, giving people a hard time, cause it comes with the hobby, but why be hard on a person, that I'm almost positive has never uddered the words, "I'm the greatest, most perfect driver in the world."
I rambled a bit, but basically we are all here for the same reason, and not all of us have the same abilities. |
