New iPhone 4?

I know a lot guys on here are Apple fans, found a story about the new possible iPhone 4 that is suppose to come out.

http://gizmodo.com/5520164/this-is-apples-next-iphone

Anybody planning on getting it whenever it is released? I personally won't be, just preordered my Droid Incredible for Verizon today :)

I personally like android operating system better than an apple operating system. Iphone might be fast, but the functionality and the customization in the android OS is awesome! Plus, the development environment is pretty sweet too.

I'm still running the 3g, so I'll upgrade when it comes out.

I'm on the 3Gs, the speed and all around functionality cannot be touched. And they are super customizable when jailbroken. :)

I will be giving up my jailbreak for os4

Re: New iPhone 4?

Well I can probably sell my barely used 3gs without a contract for as much as it costs me to re-sign my contract and upgrade, so I'll be purchasing one when they're released.

Even a jail broken iPhone can't be on par with a rooted Droid as far as speed goes. Since the Android is a Linux based OS you can flash a new kernel. That's what I did and I'm running at 1.2GHz.

As am I, flash is just around the corner too! Plus I just received my game gripper in the mail today for my Moto Droid!

Still looking forward to Apple 4.0 or whatever it is called, competition drives innovation.

So who is going to pick this up? I guess they closed the option to pre-order after one day. I'm planning on selling my 3GS and getting it. The amount of money you are able to fetch for the 3GS is just insane. I've seen them go for 350-500 bucks still.

I just returned a stupid droid phone.

They suck and are laggier than my 2 year old Iphone.

Garbage.

This is exactly my stance. Everyone I've played with is a laggy pos, besides the incredible. The incredible, is in fact incredible. And is the only other phone I would get besides the iPhone.

Any android phone with the snapdragon processor feels that way.

It's not the processor that makes it "laggy" (I would call it smooth vs. choppy scrolling, no lag when launching apps or anything), it's android itself for the 2.0 and up versions currently. The reason the Incredible is so smooth feeling is because of the HTC Sense interface laid on top of Android. My Hero with a 500 some mhz processor was the exact same smoothness as my Incredible. Google is planning on addressing these cosmetic issues with their next release (2.3 Gingerbread) from what I've read.

Also, there are a bunch of Home replacements you can download for Android that can make scrolling a lot smoother similar to what HTC Sense does. LauncherPro Beta is the best out right now, I have it on my gf's droid and it's just as smooth as this:

Also, all the issues that he posted in that video have been fixed or there are actually options to change them.

LOL I saw that cartoon yesterday and laughed my ass off!

Love the cartoon. I'll be sticking with my 3G. I prefer Tmobile...

Re: New iPhone 4?

I'll be upgrading but yea they closed the pre-orders down so that sucks. I still have my 3G, didn't bother with the 3GS, wasn't enough good stuff to warrant a new one yet.

But the 3G is 2 years old now, it is time.

I am in no rush to get it, so I will probably go visit an Apple/Att store soon and tell them to get me one when they can...too much money being spent on the car to care much about this.

Re: New iPhone 4?

I think I'll upgrade eventually after the craze has settled down. I like my regular 3g one enough that I'm in no rush to get the newest one.

Re: New iPhone 4?

I'm just going to get the new one evertime right when it comes out, sofar this is how it has worked out;

Buy 16g 3gs for $199.

Sell 16g 3gs for $325

But iphone 4 32 for $299

..and repeat process.
