Re: New Xbox 360 - built in wifi & 250GB Hdd
My sister just won a 360 elite at her all night senior party, maybe she can trade it in for one?

Re: New Xbox 360 - built in wifi & 250GB Hdd

My guess is little to none. Pretty awesome, if I didn't have an xbox I would buy it. I'm pretty content with my elite right now. |
Re: New Xbox 360 - built in wifi & 250GB Hdd
The gamestop by me said they should have them in by the end of week.

Re: New Xbox 360 - built in wifi & 250GB Hdd
Gee. PS3s only had this since... uhm... its inception! MUAHAHAH. Until you dont have to pay to use xbox live, ill be sticking with my ps3. Plus the 30% failrate doesnt help.

PS3 Online community? Whats that? LOL It lets me play games when i want to and if i want to play online, it lets me as long as i have an internet connection, it lets me connect with friends. I think its good. In reality, i dont do a whole lot of online gaming with my ps3, the Blueray player is awesome, The Media Server works great, and if i want to play any pictures, music, videos etc i can do that. Couldnt ask for more on this. :) |
Re: New Xbox 360 - built in wifi & 250GB Hdd
Selling my elite and buying this. Has a high WAF too!

Re: New Xbox 360 - built in wifi & 250GB Hdd
I've got both the PS3 and xbox...PS3 was the highest reviewed bluray player for the price, and is still considered the best one for its range I believe, which is the only reason I bought it. I hate gaming on the PS3, the only game I have ever really played on it is the Show.
Also PS3 is going to start charging for online gaming...they will still offer the free version, at least for now i believe, but they are going to add an upgraded account option. |

Re: New Xbox 360 - built in wifi & 250GB Hdd
Lets not forget the PS3 has its own optical drive failure issues. There was a nice thread on MNSC about it written by a guy who repairs xboxs and PS3s for a living.

The PS3 is a rockin' bluray player. But I picked up a Magnavox BR player off woot for.. $50. Great deal. |

I will definitely be picking up one of these new ones. Hopefully that swappable drive is a standard interface so I can transfer all my game saves... |
Re: New Xbox 360 - built in wifi & 250GB Hdd
I've had the 2 ring when i picked mine up from iheartdsms, the board isn't perfectly flat. I saw a gap between the board/chips and heatsinks. I did the x clamp mod to get the heat sinks to actually sit on the chips and it works wonderfully.

Re: New Xbox 360 - built in wifi & 250GB Hdd
^ also you added new thermal paste (Arctic 5 from radio shack) really easy fix just grab some shitty paste from best buy. I would buy the new xbox if I didn't already have one.

Re: New Xbox 360 - built in wifi & 250GB Hdd
Can't believe they still have the garbage disc tray on it instead of a slot loading design like the PS3 and Wii.

I'd rather fill up my hard drive with videos, music, DLC, than the disc data. |

I wonder if microsoft will require hard drives bought through them like previous 360's still? |
Re: New Xbox 360 - built in wifi & 250GB Hdd
Regardless the features the PS3 had before the 360, the 360 was always the more fun console to play on.
|
Re: New Xbox 360 - built in wifi & 250GB Hdd
It's the controller...the 360 one owns the PS3 one. 360 is the gamers console...ps3 is the person who very rarely games console but loves bluray and loads of features they won't use.

Re: New Xbox 360 - built in wifi & 250GB Hdd
I used to own a Wii too, because I am a pretty big gamer, sold it though, then bought it again, then sold it again, lol. Three systems is too much, i barely play one now.
I would, PS3 has a lot of cool stuff, but pure gaming i still will always go xbox. |
Re: New Xbox 360 - built in wifi & 250GB Hdd
I'll be keeping my MW2 Elite 250gb. Don't really see the need to upgrade at this time.

Re: New Xbox 360 - built in wifi & 250GB Hdd
I never understood the Controller arguement. I have always liked the PS Controllers (hasnt really changed through ps1, 2 or 3). The 360 controllers are too large and bulky.

Re: New Xbox 360 - built in wifi & 250GB Hdd
PS3 just came out with 3d games yesterday. Seems to be the next big thing. They said killzone 3 will be 3D and also use the playstation move with it.

If the analog stick was where the pad was i would agree, but it's not...yuck.
They are all based off the best controller...super nintendo! |
