NEW to me.. DAILY DRIVER!!
 

well i was in need of something with 2 more doors but i still wanted awd and a turbo, i was looking at evos but they were out of my price range so i saved this little guy from the cheese heads!

it came with a few goodies such as
-sti struts with eibach lowering springs
-23mm swaybars front and back
-upgraded endlinks
-a HUGE top mount intercooler
-wally 255(not installed)
-2 sets of wheels(winter and autox wheels....i will probably be selling these tires because they are sooooooooooo fucking sticky and i have no use for tires this sticky i love them but they should go to some one whos going to use them)
-full exhaust including turboxs catless up pipe, to turbo xs 4inch down pipe to full stainless steel 3inch cat back with a nice stock looking 3inch in duel 2.5 out muffler sounds nice and mellow untill you get on it =)
-and last an upgraded turbo by blouch called tdo4-19t

im sure ill get lots of shit for switching from mitsu to subaru but its just more practical for me atm, i really wated a evo but they are to expensive. owell i love this car it handles like its on rails i can take cloverleaves at 80 no prob, and a normal street intersection at 40, i took a round about yesterday on the inside lane at 45 and didnt even slip a wheel 1 bit i know its mostly the tires but this thing handles amazingly, and still rides decent too.. i thought i would just put this up so everyone could yell at me for switching too subies

the rims are powder coated gunmetal and the car is actually sorta blue =) well black with blue metalic flakes

Is it tuned? If so, who tuned it? (One thing MNSubaru is actually good for: getting a hold of 'Nuke' and Nate aka 'Bullwinkle'. they are both good road tuners. I got tuned by Nate twice in my old WRX, have 3-4 friends that have gotten tunes from Nuke)

Also, those are 06-07 wheels ya go there too. ;)

Sounds like it has enough mods to be decently fun (only bad thing is it all gets tougher from here lol). Up pipes are a bitch to do IMO, lucky this already has one. Does it have anything for boost control? That is also an aftermarket grille of some sort.

Just don't get all into the sideways/flatbilled hats/neon colored wheels/rallywannabe/kenblocknutswinger/typical MNSubaru homo and You'll be fine :D

it is tuned lol, by nuke actually ha on 17 psi iirc(no boost gauge this will be my first mod). it has a gm EBC for boost control. the grill honestly idk he didnt say anything about it but i thought it looked aftermarket too =/ idk i like it personaly. i have worn flatbilled hats since the day i was born but i ware them backwards not sideways.. i'm not really into rally racing, there are some cool crashes thats about it ha. i dont really like kenblock anymore, because he doesnt drive subarus, i hate ford.. i like gunmetal wheels look good on black cars IMO and its a really fun car

me too i want to get bigger injectors and get it tuned on e85 but its only a exdy stg1 clutch rated for 300 ft/lb

yeah its a really nice car inside and out its super please on the inside i havent found a stain yet, it not as fast as my talon though but it doesnt die off on top like my evo316g did it pulls hard to redline

Nice ride, hopefully the head gasket problem doesn't rear it's ugly head. These cars get great gas milage, they are just a bitch to work on. I don't think you could have done much better for a DD winter car.

^^ the head gasket issue is normaly with the no turbo 2.5l this a a turbo 2.0 there should be no issue =)

That's good to know, from what I read it was more the design of the gasket that failed and the easyiest way to replace it is to pull the entire engine, sounds fun! One thing about these cars I still don't understand is why they thought it would be a good idea to put the IC right ontop of the engine?

Yea, great mileage, mine got 22mpg highway. LMAO

Also, pulling motors on these is really not that hard, no transmission, axles, or any of that to take out, just unplug everything, take off TMIC, downpipe and radiator and it comes out. Much easier than a DSM or especially an Evo IMO.

I'd rather work on my subaru than my evo any day. Subi's are extremely easy to do just about anything on. those that say otherwise havent worked on a subaru.

Nice car. That 2.0L should get 30mpg if you drive it nice.

i would but its really snappy i like it and the 4.11's are less prone to breaking the the stock wrx trannys, if i ever get the feeling like i need it ill swap in the sti drivetrain
