New HP record for Evo X - PT7675

It was posted here:

Not enough car stuff being posted on this site lately, need to try and get some discussion going :)

Here is the dynograph, in case no one wants to click the link:

The spool is pretty good for a GIANT ass turbo. Apparently its a sidewinder manifold like the ones they do on RSX's if anyone has seen those. The intake manifold is custom too, but is dumb in my opinion, I think Full Blown might have actually done it or something.

They ran out of fuel I guess, so they are going to go for 50psi when they get that fixed, so should be well into the 1000's soon.

Anyway, enjoy.

The question is..
a> the owner a complete tool?
b> when is the partout?
c> will it actually run on a track?

which track? :)

They had it on the drag strip last week. It ran mid 10's at like 147 I believe. Apparently the load on the track was different enough to cause the car to overboost. It was already out of fuel, so this made it really out of fuel and it was breaking up badly and people say it might of lifted the head as well.

The owner is a strange dude, gone to like 10 different tuners and seems determined to have a fast car. So I think eventually it will be fast, but who knows.

His 147 trap was with a busted run and coasting through the end, so pretty good.

Oh, nope, I know nothing of that. I've done by best to steer clear of all Evo-related drama.

I don't think hes near as bad as that guy. This owner wants a track record not dyno one I think.

To be fair to him, he didn't even post this dynosheet, and only posts once in a great while. But it remains to be seen I guess.

It's just a tad amusing that the EvoX makes 80whp more, yet 100wtq less than my car.

That is the last "record holder". We don't care about him anymore, he is something else.

Never!

Not in an evo anyway. I have realized a 4 cylinder is not ideal for big numbers. Which is why a stock turbo is bolted on now :)

I learned that lesson about $40k too late.

I am waiting for you to turn the Raptor into the next turbo truck sleeper like the original blue chevy 4x4 of Jim N and bring it to the T2K15. :)

Oh shit, I never knew about that. Did he get locked up or anything for that?

^No, trial being dragged out. He is a rich kid, so the lawyers are doing their work. No one knows the whole story, but the "internet" is saying he is at fault and should go to prison etc.

he bought a porsche after his X, then sold that and now has a nitrous newer viper and is going on about his life as normal (according to facebook anyway, I friended him there lol).

I thought that one shop that raced at TX2K14 or 13 made over 1000whp?

That's crazy power.

Update to the guys record:

Still not full tilt, "only" at 44psi.

They are supposedly going back to the track soon.

Dang that's awesome. Glad to see the brand still keeping up with all the super car level powers or at least without being too many bank accounts deep.

Re: New HP record for Evo X - PT7675

Its funny you say '44psi' but the dyno graph shows 48.79. Yeow that is a freaking lot of boost!

Hard to argue with numbers, 147mph is freaking smoking for an X. Haven't seen the build but nice to see someone following through and pushing the limits, been a while!

Moore Automotive said in their post, actually on evoxforums, that it was only running 44psi, not what the dyno shows. Apparently their dyno MAP isn't scaled right or something. Not sure if they are telling the truth or not, so dunno, just going off what the dyno operator said.

The 147mph was the last time out I think at the 980whp or whatever, so another 40-50whp should help some.

Going to be tough to keep up with the puerto ricans though. They just broke the 1/4 time again with like 9.2 or 9.3 at 153 i think.

Re: New HP record for Evo X - PT7675

Dyno map isn't scaled right and overboosts at the track? Sounds fishy. Once they learn to operate and configure a dyno the results can be trusted; otherwise it is just a graph.

Get it to the track, car should go well into the 150's for mph unless its 4000lbs.

It's a dynojet, the results are what they are...

here is an engine bay picture:

I think it looks like shit too lol. Looks like they at least moved the ECU, but that engine bay is a mess. I would've just stuck with a 6766 or something and done the top mount thing. You can fit a big ass turbo back there. The sidewinder stuff just seems like a ton of nonsense. Also, the heat that the turbo generates there I am surprised it hasn't melted more stuff.
