Also, not in the indy race right now, but in toyota atlantics, a ladder step towards CART or IRL is another female..I forgot her name..but,s he's pretty good..

Patrick is doing quite well right now in the race..her car seems a little too twitchy for what I think it should be, but she's holding her own quite well..

danicas car stalled and she fell back to 16th place the hole crowd went crazy, my girlfriend is there right now and she said its absolutly crazy how fast these cars really are..

Well, dan wheldon wins, for andretti green racing. Danica finished 4th, but more importantly, re-wrote the record books, as the first female to lead the indianapolis 500. She had to conserve fuel towards the end of the race, and that's what gave it up, but great job to come back from spinning out, leaving the pits without clutchin correctly and stalling it, and starting from the back a few times..she did an astonishing job! Someday, I hope to be there, at that track on this day..my goal is to do it by the 100th race, but we will see. I still have skip barber school to go to..but, i have a good last name as my lucky charm.

yea sorry i was misinformed but i saw 2 other girls on record finishes. but i usally watch the worldwide f1 is that the toyoto one? idk but one with schumacher and alanzo (sorry if spelling is off)

fermando alonzo is the winner of the nuremburg race today..I love the renult team ,cause everyone goes for schumacher in the f1. That's formula one..the toyota atliantic series is u.s. based, and race in conjunction with the CART series. They are indy style cars, but drive road courses, more then IRL.

That's the top level CART series. ford powered, and driver's include paul tracey, bruno junquiera, sebastian bordais, patrick carpentier, oriol servia.

Formula one is the all out, world series..with usual team spendings around 400 million dollars per season..these other series are much much lower..I think around 20 million or less...

I wanted her to win. Even after all those problems like the spin out, the stalling, and the fuel conservation, she still manage to get 4th place after being in the double digits.

It was a good race towards the end. She would have definately won had it not been for the lack of fuel. :( Very cool to see her lead for a few laps!

IRL sucks. I wish CART would race there again since thats how its supposed to be. What was it, 1911ish when they first started?

CART never did it. It was all one series, and back in about 1995 (?) tony george took a direction others didn't want to go (he was the pres of irl, before brian barnhardt) so, owners started the championship auto racing teams..known today as CART. They ever since have done their own thing..and, personally I like them better. Road courses, and cooler looking cars, imo. However, there is always talk in the air of the two series getting back together, but that seems to not happen. Many think that the U.S. cannot have 2 open-wheel series, cause the money and sponsership and tv time just isn't there.

CART went bankrupt, by the way... That series is now known as Champ Car World Series, sponsored heavily by Bridgestone and Ford. IRL did something that CART lacked, and that was providing a cheap racing platform. CART kept getting closer to F1 technology and that was hurting the smaller people. IRL went to naturally aspirated V8s and limited the amount of electronics on the cars, sort of like an open-wheeled NASCAR if you will. IRL has flourished, CART went bankrupt and the Champ car series is still struggling. You do the math. :)
