Man that looks like an awesome ride. You can tell he even does a 'save the tranny' launch which would also reflect the high mph but e.t. not as low as it should be. 177 should be well into the 8's. Has to be around 40+psi of boost?

That wasn't to save the tranny, the car just bogged. The car went 8.55 at the same race last weekend without bogging the launch.

Oh i was close as i found the site. And also the filename is deceiving at 9.3 but isn't it actually a 8.55 run? I knew something had to be up with that.

Bogging at 8000 rpms. Insane. The funny thing is that his RPMs stay above what most of our car REV limiter is set at once he is moving. An ever funnier thing is that his car is stnll pretty heavy considering some of the cars he is up against.

I have an in car 8.71 run saved on my computer. I think there are more runs on his website. I got it off of one of his sites a while back.

The 9.3 is deceiving fellas. Its the 177.5mph trap that is impressive. I know he has ran a better ET even on his old setup.

I know that there are details about his car around the net. I just didn't want to post anything about it for the simple fact that I don't read 20 boards like some of you and have no clue where all he has posted information/details. The board I got it off of doesn't take to kindly to info of their board being leaked out so thats why I just posted the video because Shep said it was ok.

Holy shit... The damn turbo doesnt even spool until 7-7500rpms! Launching at 8k is just nuts. Atleast you know he can build a good tranny!

Yeah, I am very serious! 42 psi on methanol is pretty damn low. Rau is running a lot more than that! I would expect him to get up to 60 psi or so.

Well hell we've seen nash Run 40psi on his SCM. I've love to see Brents Boost Gauge or Car on the Dyno for that matter.

I've never seen any video or it in person since he completed it. Only pictures. The 1 time he came down to Moroso June 4th (18 miles away) I was in NJ at my brothers wedding.

I talked to Brent today and asked if he was going to be affected by the turbo size rule change for 4 cylinder cars in his class. He said he was, but they had already switched to the smaller compressor wheeled turbo at the last race and that it worked even better than the bigger one. He said it makes all kinds of power and boost and they had a problem with it maxing out the map sensor at over 60psi. That is probrably the highest boost ever ran on a 4G63. The 6 cylinder guys will really be crying when he gets a good 60' at a better track and runs even faster than the 7.33@190mph he ran last weekend, even after having a smaller turbo rule put on him.

60!!! Wow, that's amazing. I've heard of pulling tractors running well over 80psi but 60 for a little 4g seem like alot.

Too bad Brent never comes to Rock anymore. I don't know the whole story but i heard him and Corda don't see eye to eye.

His old AWD was all over the slippery track back when it ran low 10s/high 9s. Didn't look too safe. He doesn't live in MN anymore also.

I noticed that too. After he lets off, the needle seems to move slightly for some reason. Maybe non-NOS would account for the bog out of the hole.

That is a fast set up, I dont think he would be running nitrous on top of a lot of boost and meth, I have not heard of people trying that with the 4cyl classes. But as for boost, the highest I have heard was 240 psi in tractor pulling, Running staged turbos. But I have thought on going meth for my car, $3 a gallon and running as much boost as possible.

Think again. He just isn't running nitrous out of the hole because he is still dialing the car in, once everything is ironed out I am sure he will be at 40lbs+ of boost and a bunch of spray right out of the hole. In this particular pass he want spraying from 2nd gear on and on his 8.55 pass he was spraying after the 1/8 mile on. And its not a small shot either. Just because you are on meth doesn't mean you still can't use nitrous on a 4cyl.

It looked to me that the nitrous gauge, to the right of the fan controll, did not move from 0 the hole pass, but I could be wrong.

John never said you can't combine Methanol and Nitrous Oxide, just doesn't "appear" to be on N20 in the video. However, im not on that 'invite only board' so I wouldn't know for sure, I left that board in 2002 when it got re-structured. It was fun to read, but the bullshit was way high, and harder to tolerate than 1/2 the crap that happens here.
With that being said, damm fast car! I am excited to see what hes capible of once all the kinks are ironed out.
