Is that a pcv setup you have going that’s by the knock sensor? Did it work good?

It definately vented, problem was alot of oil vapor would leave with the fumes, so you either have to run a catch can that drained back into the block, or empty it every 100 miles. The typical catch 22 of most of the setups. My theory was to draw a vacuum with the intake manifold for cruising, and maybe try to pull a vac with the turbo intake on the redone valve cover I did. But I never got that far.

several of us want to know the how the rod failed? RPM/Boost? Time for I beam rods?

Boost/timing is my guess. I was asking alot out of them. 38ish psi, 9.5:1 compression, and still had around 11 deg in it at around 6500 rpm when it blew. Wasn't rpm, happened right as it hit full boost.

Thanks, I have the a similar build with eagle rods weisco pistons@9.0:1. I'm too cheap to get the upgraded rods.
was it ethanol or gasoline? |
