turbotalon1g

A couple of days ago i emailed turbotalon1g about his 255 HP walbro pump. In his ad he described one used 255 walbro and one new 255 HP walbro still in wrapper with 2g awd install kit. We meet up and he brings the used 255. I told him that i emailed him about the 255 HP. He then said that the used one is the HP version. I wasn't sure and told him that it's fine i'll take the used one for the price we talked about but are you sure it's the HP version. He said he had no doubt that it is the HP version and that he is on the forums all the time. I then told him that i trust you and made the purchase.

I get home and didn't have a good feeling about this so i text him that i think there was a confusion between us and that the pump he sold me is not the HP version. He then gets all defensive and say that he made 410 awhp and 460 trq and that it is the HP version and for me to check the Part number for it. The next morning i check the part number for it and it was in fact not the HP version. So i text him telling him that and he said it can't be. I then told him that if he can just return me my money or i can add more money for his new 255 HP pump. Dude snapped and text me that i dont need the HP version and that the pump he sold me will do the job. I told him that im sure it will get the job done but the fact that you lied to me and said it was the HP version i don't appreciate that. Then he ask what i want to do. I told him i'll give him more money for the HP version and give him back the one i recently bought from him. I also asked if i can get $10 knocked off the new one since he lied to me. He then tells me that he didn't lie to me and proceeded to call me names. He said that i am a joke and that i don't even need a walbro pump and that i'm the hassle. He then started to say that i was a tough guy because i wanted my money back. This dude starts to tell me what i should start buying for my own car like he's my mom or something.

I got pissed and told him to bring me my money and we can talk face to face. He agrees and met up with me. I told him that i don't appreciate being lied to and he needs to be clear and precise on things. He started to apologize and said he had temperament issues and that someone owed him alot of money. He brings the HP pump but i told him i'll take my money elsewhere.

I've never had so much trouble buying something on this forum. But for some reason this dude was trying to pull a quick one on me. He then pulls out my money and hand it to me. I go and grab it and he holds on to it tight. I was like "what the fuck" and then he let go. In my head i was like "you've got to be fucking kidding me".

I know that for what im doing i don't need the HP version but i am willing to get it for the same reason everyone else would get one, just in case it wasn't enough.

Truth is, this guy Aaron was the joke. And i have all the Text messages to prove it to.

Just wanted to let everyone on here know/if you hadn't already.

Re: turbotalon1g

Yep. Also if you didn't notice I have been around for a while and some bs story from a noob won't stop people from buying parts from me.

Hence pending sale of rims to mike, exhaust to brian, and if nate still needs it OFH and cooler unless he got hooked up by his hydraulic friend.

And i lowered my price on most of the stuff for these guys cause they were in hurry.
Welded for B man for free, made a catback for some dude for the cost of pipe and even let him stay the night in my house.

Oh yeah, and dropping off an intake pipe for free to a local tomorrow.

Re: turbotalon1g

Well glad you were nice to them, maybe you thought you could jip a newb or something or so you thought...

First off you don't know anything about me, and why would you call me a noob? you don't know what knowledge i have on cars or on anything. Calling me names once again. You can call me all the names you want but i guarantee you ain't going to say it in my face. You had your chance to say all the shit you wanted to the other day, but you didn't say a word but apologize.

Im not trying to make people not buy things from you, just telling it how it is dude..

edit: I've been here for awhile also if YOU haven't noticed...and this IS NO BS STORY. If it was why would you be all defensive about it. Don't make me post the Text messages too...

I've dealt with Aaron when i bought my exhaust piping from him, He was straight forward and gave me a good price i felt. That sucks to hear that there were issues but from everything I've heard he's always done good business.

Re: turbotalon1g

Are you guys sure there wasn't some miscommunication via txting or aim? I think aaron is well-known enough that people trust him for stuff like this, and if I was in his shoes I'd probably say the same thing....he probably bought it in the first place thinking it was the HP one.

Anyways, two sides to the story, just please leave it at that. This section is for reviews, not mediation or counciling :)

side note: calling someone a noob is not 'calling names' I think aaron got called a noob more than anyone here for quite a while, I remember when he picked up some stuff from me several years back and he was just getting started.....then his car starting on fire at the dyno day...LOL good times! Anyways, he's brown so he's gotta be a LITTLE shady! ;)

Re: turbotalon1g

What was the part #? An HP version is going to be a GSS341 or GSS342.

Re: turbotalon1g

yea, and the only difference between those two is one has both inlet and outlet on the one side, and the other staggers the two.

i have hade ok luck with brown man. a couple things that i was a little iffy on but all in all hes been a really good guy to deal with. the only thing i had a problem with was the tranny i bought from him and it wasn't really even his fault it was the person who did the work on it. but all in all he's a great guy and knows his shit for the most part

I've had nothing but good experiences with Aaron.

He was very honest and knew what he was talking about. He even helped me out over the phone when I was having some issues with a suspension set up that he had sold to a friend of mine, who then sold it to me several months later without ever using it. I feel like it wasn't really his problem since I wasn't the person who purchased it from him, but he still took the time to help out. He also held onto an OFH and cooler for me which was awesome. Thanks Aaron! I'd definately do business with him again.
