1 week turbo went bad after rebuild
i have a fp turbo 60-1 with a mitsu center cartrige and td06h wheel
i just had it rebuilt by diesel components worked great after that the only thing i changed was the oil feed location i changed it back to the head and i thought that would take care of my oil seals blowing ran great affer i swapped it no smoke anymore now as of last night it quit spooling all together :angryfire: i just spent 300$ on this to get it going again what am i doing wrong to keep smoking turbos huge shaft play it ate the compressor wheel dont know about the exaust wheel havent pulled it off yet i dont have a turbo timer but i did sit for 1 min everytime before i shut it off the car and allways let it warm up for 5 min the engine dosnt tick or show signs of oil starvation running 10w40 oil orily brand non syn still new engine about 2500 miles since rebuild changed oil 14 times the only thing i can come up with is the oil pump is weak ? after its warm it the manual gauge reads 20 then in boost maxes out at 80 never hits a 100 cold . id like to know what i am doing wrong here |

Re: 1 week turbo went bad after rebuild
Your oil pressure seems to be perfect for feeding the turbo from the oil filter housing. I wouldn't feed from the head with that pressure.

Re: 1 week turbo went bad after rebuild
Check the feed port at the head, might be plugged with build up. Do you know for sure oil was flowing from it?
