Re: Motorcycle insurance
I have state farm and I love them.

Re: Motorcycle insurance
I heard you can only buy insurance yearly. Is that correct?
|
Re: Motorcycle insurance
You can pay for 12 months up front. Or pay each month but you will pay a little more then if you paid for the whole year up front. I plan on paying each month.

Re: Motorcycle insurance
GSXTURBO98 have you ever made a claim with state farm?
|
Re: Motorcycle insurance
With Allstate, I paid monthly on my ZX14. But they make you pay two months at a time for six months. Because it was so cheap anyway. $98/mo on that one.
Again with Allstate, I paid yearly on my R6. It was somewhere around $400-$500. Never had any problems with them. But I didn't make any claims either. Didn't have medical coverage, just covered the bike. |
Re: Motorcycle insurance
Progressive has decent MC rates
I pay $158 a year for full coverage for 2 bikes |
Re: Motorcycle insurance
i go through progressive just because i have all my cars through them. but ive heard great things about dairyland motorcycle insurance prices.

Re: Motorcycle insurance
Who do you have for car insurance? Why not just go through them and possibly get a multi-line discount?
I've had State Farm for years and had them insure my motorcycle when I had it. I never had a claim on my motorcycle, but I had 2 claims with my other 2 cars. Never had an issue with their claims process. |
Re: Motorcycle insurance
I have allstate for auto insurance. I just dont like there claim service. I will proably end up going with them. Just wanted know if there was anything better for motorcycle insurance. Iam just afraid of the bike get wrecked and I get stuck flipping a bill. they quoted me $1000 for insurance on the bike. I dont want to spend a grand to insure it and have to spend alot more if something happens

Re: Motorcycle insurance
If your record is good, give State Farm a call. They may find some areas that will give you discounts on your combined insurances. Car, Bike, Home owners (or renters), Life insurance, etc.
My ex switched to them and they found all kinds of discounts for her. They offered her a small life insurance policy that would cost her $7 a month, but it knocked $20 a month off of her car insurance with the multi-line discount. Worth looking into if they want to bend you over that bad for motorcycle insurance. |
Re: Motorcycle insurance
I will have to call state farm tonight.

Re: Motorcycle insurance
I just switched from progressive to state farm.
I'm 25 with one moving viloation with a 06 r1 and by switching to state farm im saving almost 100 a month with a smaller deductible and better coverage. Also ended up saving $20 a month on my scion with a lower deductible and way better coverage. Progressive said they just revised their motorcycle rates this spring so people with coverage through progressive I'd double check your rates, mine went up almost $30 a month |
Re: Motorcycle insurance
I am switching to state farm also. Thanks to brad. Going from $134 a month for full coverage to $34 a month for full coverage at state farm. Now I will pay $140 a month for 2 liter bikes and my jeep at state farm.
