Converting Galant GSX to turbo????

A friend of mine has a non turbo AWD galant. He bought it as a shell a year ago and has sone nothing to it. I wanna buy it from him cause i have an extra running motor and most of the accessories.

Do I need to do anything special to convert it to a 6 bolt turbo?? The guy he bought it from said it had a turbo engine in it when it blew up. The bottom end, tranny and transfer case are all still there, but i don't know how to tell if it was a turbo motor or not. Any ways to tell???

If it was a turbo engine, will everything bolt up just like it would in a 1g? I don't know if there are mechanical differences between a 1g and a galant.

What about shift linkage?? Is it specific for the galant or interchangable with all dsm's?

And side mount intercooler/ piping same or different?\

Radiator, power steering lines, coolant lines, downpipe, wiring/sensors, etc???

Thanks for the help!

most of it is the same as a 1g. the enging will bolt right in. the oem galant radiator has the cap on it unlike the 1g that has it on the water neck. the rest is just like a 1g. you will need a turbo harness if it does not have one in it or add the wires to the one in the car
