Re: transfer case leaking????

Either from the xfer case yolk (out the back where the driveshaft goes into it) or one of the axle seals (on either side).

get it up in the air ASAP before it gets *everywhere* and you cannot figure out where its coming form. If that's already the case, clean the living crap out of it, drive around the block, and then look for the leaky spot.

Also, check to make sure the drain and fill plugs are tight.

Black puddle? Sounds to me like you need a fluid change. Take care of that leak asap or you'll be paying a lot to fix it.

Re: transfer case leaking????

Yes, RTFM and do it. remove the axle and pry out the seal from the outside, then slap in a new one and re-install. It's not that hard but not a walk in the park.

After looking at it closer when i got home found it was also leaking from the xcase imput seal also so going to have to do that also

Re: transfer case leaking????

I was gonna say, the trans/transfer case interface leak would be the transfer case input shaft seal. Not hard to change at all but you obviously have to pull the transfer case.
