Any idea how much weight the powdercoating adds to a 17" wheel?
What temperatures are you getting the wheels up to?

I'm not sure on the weight. Temperatures vary depending on the color but they range from 340 to 400 degrees.

i would guess it would be an once or two tops for added weight at most.

i know a few people who have done 4 rims with 8 onces of powder so it cant be more than that.

They're extension cord wraps for a trucking company. Apparently drivers were constantly backing into them (they were just bare steel before) so they needed something that would catch the drivers eye. :lol:

I'll have to look you guys up next month. I'm going to make the old 4g63 2.0 rotating assembly from my car into a coffee table. And assuming it works out like I think it will, I'll get it powdercoated in crushed silver.

And before someone asks. I sold Buschur my good crank-I'm using a junk one I got back from them.
