The Official Formula 1 Thread!
 

Any other F1 fans out there? It sometimes seems that we are few and far between. I'm excited for the upcoming season. Lots of interesting things going on during winter testing. McLaren seem either a little slow, or are sandbagging, big time! Brawn GP (formerly Honda F1) seem decently quick from the get go. Looks like it could be a very close season.

I like F1. By far the most technologically advanced and most expensive cars on the planet.

Sometimes the amount of buttons on the steering wheel just seems a little ridiculous. But they are adding maybe two this year for KERS and the adjustable front wing.

I've watched a qualifying lap and a lap or two of race with a view that showed Fernando Alonso working the differential adjustment (left thumb wheel) 2-3 time a lap in the Renault. Almost justifies some of the controls they have on there.

I personally cannot wait for the season to start! ALMS and F1 are the two series I follow religiously during the year, and then I follow IRL nascar etc..

No idea. I like the enduro stuff, but they just take a little to long to keep me 100% into it.

WRC Cyprus Rally is this weekend! AU V8Supercars the weekend after, and then F1+V8SC the week after that! Racing season is here!!!

And its going to be below zero for a day or so here. I like F1 and catch what I can off SPEED and catch the rest from Ryan. We will epically fail in F1, mark my words.

I love watching F1 races, but it sucks I don't have cable here. F1, World Superbike, and Moto GP are my favorite motorsports to watch.

I'm not really. Toyota, Williams and Brawn GP have inventive diffusers, said to be worth 1/2 a second. I'm supprized it's not those 3 on the front 3 rows.

Really good race. It will be a exciting year. I am surprised how different the cars look this year, they look like a ~91 or so F1 with wider tires up front and a wider/lower front wing. I hope they make more use of the KERS, its like the power to pass CART tried for a while, I thought they were going to try for better fuel economy with it or something. And a great run by Brawn GP.

I just had a conversation with my old auto teacher (huge f1 nut), and got the whole 411 on how brawn gp swooped in and is laying the smackdown on the field. Nice to see somebody other than ferrari and mercedes at the top. And how lucky is virgin, they find a that is already into the season, slap a sponsor sticker on the side, and watch that team do some damage. I was big into moto gp, and followed f1 for a while. Kinda fell out of watching it though.
