92 Talon 10k original miles
http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/hn...323414128.html
Does anyone know this guy? Is this legit? Engine bay seems a bit dirty and repainting a car in the first 10k seems odd. I'm curious if this would be worth it. |
Re: 92 Talon 10k original miles
It's tough to say nowadays. I do not know the guy but most people don't repaint before or at 10,000 miles. lol Maybe it was just because he felt he wanted a different color. Who knows.
Get in contact with him. He claims to have some evidence with registration and such. It looks to be a very clean car. |
Re: 92 Talon 10k original miles
I remember this guy trying to sell the car last year. Still looks clean.

That thing is worth 5-6 k tops. If it really has 10k miles then paint should be more or less mint. Sounds like a bunch of BOLOGNA to me!

Might go take a look since it's in EP

Very hard to say if it is real. Dsms are very easy to roll the miles back on.

Re: 92 Talon 10k original miles
I also remember this from last year.

I remember this car being up for sale on craigslist last year also.

Re: 92 Talon 10k original miles
I'm a firm believer in the old adage, "if it seems too good to be true, it usually is."
I still wouldn't pay $12k for it, regardless of mileage. If it does actually have 10k on the clock, it likely spent the first 15+ years of it's life collecting dust, which is detrimental in its own right. |

Re: 92 Talon 10k original miles
It does seem too good to be true but I guess looking at it is the only way to know for sure. IMO if I were selling a 10k mile 1g it would be on every DSM forum google could find for me..not just limiting the ad to craigslist..Plenty of guys out there that would snatch it up..So thats a big red flag to me. I probably wouldn't pay 12k either. I just thought someone on here knew the guy and could vouch for the legitimacy of the car. Thanks for the responses!

Re: 92 Talon 10k original miles
When I bought my Talon a few years back it had 22,000 original miles on it and bone stock. I paid $6,500 for it.
I bought it from a middle aged woman who was the original owner and she took great care of the car. She had receipts for every oil change ect. She was a scientist near Milwaukee. I found my Talon through craigslist too so you never know what you'll find. |
Re: 92 Talon 10k original miles
I wonder what the inside looks like. Maybe you can tell by the seat condition ect. Sounds like someone is just trying to rip people off though. I generally trust people until money is involved.
