Re: clutch problems
That would be a problem with the clutch master/slave cylinder. I would check under the dash to see if its leaking down the inside of the fire wall, or check the slave to see if its leaking there. It could be a leak in a line? What clutch do you have in the car and do you have a SS clutch line?

Re: clutch problems
It is a stock gs-t. I dunno what clutch it is. I didn't see any thing underneath the car. but i didn't check the fire wall.

Re: clutch problems
You can leave your car running for 6 days if you want and it is not going to make any difference.
1. Open your service manual and check out the section on troubleshooting clutch related issues. Not only will that give you troubleshooting tips, but it will describe to you exactly where your clutch release (slave) and master cylinders are. 2. Check the slave cylinder for signs of fluid leakage. 3. While checking the slave cylinder, check your clutch line for signs of fluid leakage. 4. Check your master cylinder for signs of fluid leakage. 5. Determine what needs to be replaced. If your slave and/or master cylinder needs replacement, call Chris Cabe at Brookdale Mitsubishi and he'll get you what you need. If your clutch line is blown, which I highly doubt since you said above that the clutch worked alright after pumping it, buy a braided stainless line. If your clutch line is not blown, buy a braided stainless line for the simple fact that braided stainless does not expand and cause a reduction in line pressure like the OEM lines. |
Re: clutch problems
Same exact thing happend to me. Just replace the master cylinder and be done with it. Trust me. I replaced the slave cylinder too just to be on the safe side and then I wouldnt have to worry about that going bad.
