What's the new claim?
Good power levels on pump gas :).

Re: 3400hp of turbo's

you shoulda gone dual open wg..pull a cher n run it through the front bumper..that way, whomever is next to you on a race, will be deaf by the end..(not a slam against cher's car at all, cause it was rather fun this summer, and the reaction that "hole" got)

Fricking turbo's dont fit in the engine bay.
I think I figured out a way, but I get to use a 2g dsm fuse box now :).

Well they fit, just going to be fun manifold routing.

Just cut the shit out you don't need. Like fenders.

What are you using for manifolds?

niterydr 02-10-2006 05:45 PM

Re: 3400hp of turbo's

Custom manifolds. 304 stainless thicker wall (over .100").

I'm no fabrication expert but why not 321? Between my own reading and this thread, 321 seems to be the way to go over 304:

I know on the 300z's when they want to go big, they have to notch and box the frame/unibody.. Could be an option? Good luck

321 stainless is the perferred material, but is very very expensive to work with. A think wall 304 that is thermal coated will be more than fine in this application (remember, this is still my car that I have to fund). Most manifolds on the market are mild steel flanges that are welded to thick wall 304 or mild steel runners. Then they are thermal coated to keep in heat and help protect against rust (mild steel applications). Stainless flanges tend to expand and shear off headstuds, and 321ss is not cheap to get machined, cut, or just to work with.

We monkeyd (spelling?) with it for a few hours the other night and they should fit over the manifold without any enginebay/frame/firewall modifications. There are 2 3000gt's/Stealths with a larger setup than mine curently running (both are running twin 3076R's). One is mounted similar to our idea/configuration (tranny mount), the other is between the valve cover and the firewall/ near the normal location for the front one. Thanks for the input :)

I could just snap a pic with me holding them in there, but we should have one of the manifolds constructed by the end of this week. Just comes down to how much time I feel like putting in after 6pm each day (let alone John, Ryan, Kyle, and Justin).
