wont start
 

i was limping my car around last night from shop to shop and i was shifting from 2nd to 3rd and i heard a very loud BANG and i looked back and a puff of black smoke, so i went to press the throttle and nothing, so i coasted to a stop and i went to start it and it just went err,err,err,err... it did not turn over fast liek the timing belt skipped or anythign. but anyone have a idea?

Any idea of where the bang came from? Do you think it was clutch or engine related, since you were shifting?

well it came out of the exhaust like it was back fire. but when i try and start the engine there is no wierd noises, just no start. i was thinking possibly fouled the plugs since it is untuned and running very rich. when i was coasting the engine was still on, and when i pressed the gas it would not rev up.

Pull the plugs and see how they look.
