Alignments?

Track days are coming up soon, and I know that most of you don't have your car even aligned. A correctly aligned car can save you gas mileage (less resistance due to toe, etc) and save your tires too. It can also help you keep the car straight on the 1/4 mile! So, get those vehicles in and schedule an apt for your car to get fixed right!

Also, those of you wanting tire quotes, and are PM'ing me over on MNSC. I'm not here for any of them, nor will I offer them sales or discounts. This is for DSMStyle members only! Only PM me here. Thanks.

Swifty, once I get my car back with the new clutch I think I'm going to bring it in to have it checked out and if needed, alligned.

Can you guys align lowered cars?

Swifty1638 05-31-2007 11:49 AM

Re: Alignments?

Yes, we can do lowered cars, but within certain specs. If you don't have the ability to adjust the camber, or toe as far as it needs, then there's only soo much we can do.

Alignment checks are not free, only because it takes time to set up and calibrate all the wheels.

Turning stock rotors, if you brought them in, off the car (as long as it's within spec, or "turnable") is $10 a piece, otherwise, taking them off the car and turning them, and throwing them back on, with the existing pads is $40 a side, due to labor.

Allan, you smoke that new car's clutch already?!

Nope, TSB on the clutch = new clutch for me, 100% free. Kinda nice to have as this one now had 15k miles on it now. lol

I'm just glad as the way it was, sucked for engagement.

How about next Tuesday (June 5th) at 6pm or later? I'll have the camber kit and sway bars in this weekend, and I leave Wednesday.

Thanks,
Andrew

That would be an alignment tech's dream. Nothing like working on a lowered car with nothing but the factory adjustments.:scsa:

Re: Alignments?

Sleepy, I also have Ksports, and did my alignment. I can mess around with it, yes. I also have access to corner weights too, if you wanted to set that up as well. Go to LSE for that. As for the equipment, all I know is it's Hunter. uses infrared lasers to align it all up, after calibrating the car.
