bad way to start the day
77 in a 55. Female cop, and she knew what an Evo was. No chance for excuses, she just dropped the ticket in my lap and that was that.

77 in a 55?? LOL, that's just asking for trouble.

Re: bad way to start the day
that sucks
go down and see the hearing officer to get the fine down |
Re: bad way to start the day
It's a flat rate I believe in Hennepin county for all speeding. $120 dollars I think? Anyway yeah EP cops are usually cool but there's a few dicks (or bitches in this case).
Cops are on my shitlist lately... I was kicked out of the Chinese restaurant parking lot at Midway while chilling with some Evo owners, the cops kicked us out at 11PM on Friday and I asked "Tell me.... are we really breaking the law if the owner came out and said we could be here?" The dickhead officer just replied "I don't know you want to go down to court and find out?" |
Re: bad way to start the day
Ummm yea, it's not a flat rate. $14x for 0-20 over, 20+ over is $209.
I plan on going to see if I can get it talked down. |
Re: bad way to start the day
Wow I hate getting tickets. I mean come on, an evo can be driven safely at those speeds!
You tell me what's more dangerous, an evo going 20 over, or some beater car with shitty breaks going the speed limit. imo diff cars should have diff speed limits haha |

Re: bad way to start the day
Try to get a stay of continuance (I think that's what it's called) or something like that. If your record is clean, usually they will do this. Basically you end up paying a little more on the fine, but if you keep your nose clean for a certain period time they won't put the ticket on your record. It won't show up on your record during that time either unless you get another ticket. Frankly it's worth the extra few dollars to keep your insurance rates good and your record clean.
Cindy did this with her inattentive driving ticket. She has about a month left before it's done. Usually they go for a year. Hers was only 6 months. See what you can get done. |
Re: bad way to start the day
Some humor to brighten your shitty day..... these are old but still funny
--- * I can't reach my license unless you hold my beer. * Hey, is that a 9mm? That's nothing compared to this 44 magnum. * Hey, you must have been doing 125 to keep up with me, good job. * Sorry officer, I didn't realize my radar detector wasn't plugged in. * I was going to be a cop, but I decided to finish high school instead. * What do you mean have I been drinking? You are the trained specialist. * Wow, you look just like the guy in the picture on my girlfriends night stand. * I thought you had to be in relatively good physical shape to be a police officer. * I was trying to keep up with traffic. Yes I know there is no other car around, that's how far they are ahead of me. * Is it true that people become cops because they are too dumb to work at McDonalds? * Well, when I reached down to pick up my bag of crack, my gun fell off of my lap and got lodged between the brake and the gas pedal, forcing me to speed out of control. |
Re: bad way to start the day
LOL! Thx!

Re: bad way to start the day
My first and only ticket was 62 in a 30 on PI road in Winona. 337 Dollar fine if I remember correctly.
Besides one written warning, I've kept my nose clean since. |
