F'ed may car up
4 Attachment(s)
I finally got around to pulling my tranny today. I though I just had to replace the tranny alighnment dowel and a bolt. I was wrong. Turns out one of the ears broke off of the engine block. the throw out bearing came apart and the shaft that the throw out bearing slides on broke off the tranny.
Luckly I have a spare tranny. and Im hopeing my dad can weld up the block. Here's what youve been waiting for CARNAGE PICS. |

Wow, that sucks.
If you are in need of another tranny for a "spare" let me know. Was that a stock tranny or was it built? |

Re: F'ed may car up
I've welded that ear up on the block before. I ended up using my old stick welder and Nickel rod if I remember right. It held up fine but I wasn't running 12's or better with that car.

Re: F'ed may car up
Yea stick with nickel rod is probly what we'll do. Im hopeing my dad can do it with the motor in the car still.

Re: F'ed may car up
I would weld on some supports once you get the ear welded back on.

Re: F'ed may car up
I've heard of these ears breaking off. A friend parted his car out because of it!
