I am not sure if anybody on here still plays poker on a regular basis but I thought I would share this info since I think its a pretty good deal.

Treasure Island is having two WSOP Satellite Touranments on February 27 - March 1 & March 19 - 22.

According to the last meeting I was at the buy in was only $200+$20 entry fee and there will only be a total of 500 players allowed in this tournament. The top prize is around $30,000 and a spot at the WSOP in Las Vegas which is valued at $10,000 per seat.

Seats for this will go very quickly, if anybody is interested call 1-800-222-7077 ext 2297 to enter.

go to www.treasureislandcasino.com for more details.

That is so tempting! If there are any later on, then I would go. I have only been at this job a month though, so I better not take 4 days off.

There are Satellite events on Full Tilt you can sign up for in a week or two. I am actually thinking of taking a shot at the TI game though. Just for kicks.

How I gather you would need 5 days off work, well I would as I would expect to win, you could probably just take your lunch break in the morning and not miss anything ;).

The one thing this tournament offers that other don't is the price package in regards to cash. I am not sure of the exact structure but from what I heard if you make it to the final table you are guaranteed atleast 5 grand in cash at the least. And with only 500 players allowed the chances are pretty decent if you think about it.

I will keep this thread posted if I hear of any that are later on, but it sounds like this is Treasure Islands big poker event. It is already over half full and because of the high payout it will fill up fast.

Yeah I realized that after I posted but really didn't care to change it, nice catch :thetwins:

Allan, if you want to go out to the Foxwoods for a torney this spring/summer I am game, take a road trip! Do some golfing and poker, split gas, it would be fun :)

Re: Wsop

Just a quick update to this since the first tournament is over.

Here is the award structure for the tournaments I mentioned above:

1st Place-$30,000 total prize package, $17,500 cash and a spot in the WSOP.
2nd Place-$15,500 Cash
3rd Place-$12,500 Cash
4th Place-$10,000 Cash
5th Place-$8,000 Cash
6th Place-$7,000 Cash
7th Place-$6,000 Cash
8th Place-$5,00 Cash
9th Place-$3,500 Cash
10th Place-$2,500 Cash

Not bad for only 500 entries and a $220 buy in. Some of you fools should come for the next one, rumor has it that the guy who took first place had only played poker a few times before, its anyones game if you get some sweet cards I guess.
