1g/2g piston rod combo?
ok i searched and found nothing!
1. whats the advantage of doing this. 2. which shop will match the too for a decent price. 3. has eny one here done this, and what have they noticed the reason i ask is, i have to disable almost all of my motor to replace all the seals and what not, befor i do my swap in my 2g, and my 2g still has a 7bolt in it, so if the pistons are still good when i pull it on monday, i was thinking of doing the swap! MAYBE! |
Re: 1g/2g piston rod combo?
1g rods are bigger/stronger, and 2g pistons are higher compression(8.5:1). The 1g OG's are 7.8:1. 7.8:1 is just too conservative and unnecessary, makes less power, spools slower etc.

Re: 1g/2g piston rod combo?
The 2g pistons are 8.5:1 compression ratio, and the 1g pistons are 7.8:1 compression ratio. You will need to machine the 1g rods to get the 2g pistons to fit on them though.
EDIT: I shouldn't have walked away and not refreshed the page before posting. haha |
