Re: New product devolopment

We're almost finished making the CAS Heat Shield for the EVO... We should have a couple of them to give away at the dyno day as well as some license plate brackets.

Anyone have any ideas on colors for them?

We were thinking of doing black, red & polished..

Ideas, Comments, Suggestions are always welcome

Black, polished, and red (to match the valve cover) sound like good ideas to me.

Thank you guys VERY much for donating the CAS shields and the battery tray today! They all looked very nice; I happened to win the black CAS shield and already installed it :D

How much for a polished one (CAS shield)? I'd like one please :)

Very nice!

I got the polished one via my cousin today, Early B-day presents rock :)

I like it, it's polished very well, mirror like. I'm hoping to throw it on tomorrow. Thanks for donating!

We got some Radiator brackets cut out today and we will be powder coating and polishing some over the next few days. Here is a sneak peak.

We also started some spark plug covers. But these wont be available for a few weeks.

Just a thought: Should there be more rubber on the radiator tabs? The stock ones have a bit more give to them don't they? I just worry about the plastic endtanks and the mounting pins (from the radiator itself) cracking from too much vibration.

Would it be better to cover the front of the CAS as well?

Ya we are trying this out on my car right now, we are getting some rubber inserts that will give a little more.

We are thinking that as well, We are also wondering if the alignment pins in the stock ones will be needed to stop the raitator from shifting. This one was just a prototype to try it out. We will design a different one if these doen work out.

This brings up a good point but they way we look at it is the exhaust manifold is the hottest parts, the radiator hose doesnt get that hot compaired to the exhaust. And closing the CAS in with another side would more then likely trap heat in and around the CAS.

I think utilizing the alignment pins plus a little more rubber would be a good idea. Can't wait to see the final product :D
