To start it all off
aly's hatch blew up.
she was driving to work and the oil cooler line blew out and out came all the oil. the car still ran after we fixed on the side of 94 and got drove it home. the oil pump failed when I went to move it out and back into the drive way so they could plow it.

so pretty much
oil cooler line blew
oil pumped failed
locked up the b.s.
took out the b.s. belt
b.s. belt took out timing belt

2nd
On the first snow we got I crashed the evo.
After I droped off my dad after work and to pick up Jack. I was almost home when Jack jumped on my arm when I was starting to turn and slow down. It made me slide into a center island. As I backed off of it one of the tial 38mm gates got caught on the curb and ripped it the full dumptube and tial off the exhaust mani. DaD,Kevin,and I took it all apart and weled it back to the mani. John pushit2.0 offered to fix it for free witch was awesome of him but I need it done so I could go to work. (not having weekends off and working 2nd shift sucks ass)

3rd
woke up in the moring to take Aly to work and a car had crashed in are drive way and was rapped around the tree in are front yard. Took them over 14hrs to get it the hell out of our drive way. I was lucky that I moved the talon to the top of the drive way the night before and Kevin was lucky he did not stay the night. other wise one of them would have been totaled out also.

4th
blew the side wall out of the rear right tire on the evo. Dont know if it was at work or on the way to work. There is a nice 6in+ hole in the side wall of the tire. I had to have Ali bring down a jack and jack stand and the talon so Dad and I could get home. I was really lucky that I still had 1 extra tire sitting at home. So Pete did be a huge favor for getting the tire put on asap for me. Also huge thanks for Craig to bring me down to the airport to put the rim back onto my car so I could get it home yesterday.

And 5th the best one of all this month. Aly is losing her job
it all started when her car died on 94 and she was late and they said it was a unexcused late. Then the car hit our tree a few days later amd we could not get out of the drive way so she call in to work and told them that we had to wait for the cops and a tow truck to get it out of the way. they were fine with it then. but a few days later she got a letter saying she was a no call no show to work for her reg day. she called early since there was an event in the morring. So they are saying she had to call 2 times.
They are trying to out sorce the jobs for over 1/2 of what is makes now. So we made the choice yesterday for her to put in her 2 weeks so she will not be fired so it will look better on her apps to all the places she has sent her resume to already. They are looking at everything down there right now to fire everyone soon. It is total b.s.

Sorry to hear, :( sounds like it can only get better from here! However, it is hard for me to imagine you even take the chance of driving the Evo in the snow though hehe. :)

Edit - BTW I would have the driver replace that tree, I can almost say with certainty that your tree will die. :(

Sorry to hear about that dude! I have been in the middle of car troubles myself. It has been a very poor end to the year, thats for sure. At least nobodys car got smashed up when that fool hit your tree. It could have made for a mega shitty month.

Im not the only one that will be glad when 2009 is over!

Don't let Ally quit that job. With the Obama everybody can sit on their ass for years plan, Ally could conceivably get unemployment until she can find a better position. Plus that sticks it to her company because it goes against the fund they pay into for unemployment insurance. Plus with privacy laws, her current employer can't say anything bad about her, just that she worked there. And with all the layoffs these days, it's so common that it's not really a negative anymore.

i got FIRED for the store and me having low sales average. I got unemployment because i was fired for something that wasnt my fault. As long as i tried my best at my job i was eligable for unemployment. Trust me in these times its a blessing. Sounds like with the crap she puts up with she diserves the unemployment.

When it rains, it pours. You two keep your heads up and stay positive, as hard as it may be at this time of year.
Incorrect. Being fired because of being late, insubordination, unexcused absences, etc. is employee misconduct and you are ineligible for unemployment. If you file for unemployment after being fired for said reasons you can almost guarantee that the employer will appeal (because they pay unemployment insurance to the state), you will lose and you will have to pay back any unemployment you received.

matt, I was fired for being "insubordinate" as they so called it (long story, but whatever). I still got/am getting unemployment. The place of unemployment is sent shit to file or agree with crap as well as you, hence why it takes 4 weeks for anything to even start. Like, getting paid. You even fill that out on the online app for unemployment.

You can still get unemployment for punctuality issues that could be considered misconduct, however, Matt D. is right generally you will not. I routinely conference call many unemployment hearings for individuals have been let go for various reasons. For the most part they grant more unemployment cases than years past, basically you have to do something really bad or stupid to get denied unemployment.

Sorry to hear about all your misfortune; usually shit like that just comes in droves, just weather the storm, it will get better.
