1g 2g transmissions
 

i was wondering if i could rebuild my own trans from this site they say they carry all new oem or better drivetrain.com .Im looking in to it and i seen a kit with new syncros and locks and bearings for about $400. About $500 cheaper if sent off the shepard ive had my trans apart a few times i have a 20 ton press to use and the tools needed to get it apart and back together

the only thing that worrys me if the stuff i put in is worse than what i had in there since i have never ordered from there but i guess they have kits for the t-5 and t56 trans and those hold some power but i looked up our transmissions are only suppose to hold about 260 hp

i called them and asked a bunch of questions about what they have and they asked me what i had like the differnces between 2nd gear the teeh count they needed alot of that info witch i didnt have cause its still in my car . heres the link http://www.drivetrain.com/parts_cata...bishi_car.html

so take yours apart then order the replacements?

All the known shops sells kits to DIY, well at least jacks and TRE does.
