Full 6 bolt motor build, part suggestions?

Long story short, I blew my completely stock 7 bolt last weekend. Now I am in the process of gathering parts for the 6 bolt that is in process of being built. It will be running an EVO 3 big 16g, 1350cc injectors, E85, DSMlink, it has the supporting mods for that setup. Basically I am going to build a full motor because its getting taken apart for the rebuild. I am stuck on deciding a piston and rod combo, I know the wiseco/eagle is popular. I don't know if I should go that route or try something new. Is there something better? Then for the head, I want performance cams. I plan on upgrading the springs and retainers with the cams. Also possibly upgrading valves. Is any camshaft better then another? HKS has been around a while but also big $, FP? Crower?

For people who don't want to read the full write out, suggestions of pistons, rods, and camshafts... Any ideas are greatly appreciated

HKS 272s, stock rods and 2g pistons. The stock bottom end will be able to handle anything that 16g can throw at it and then some. Stock valves and springs will be fine as well, since the turbo won't breathe enough to make use of it past 7500 rpm.

Well as far as your wiseco/eagle wanting to know if anything is better, well any rods besides scats are probably going to be better than eagles. Eagles are cheap upgrade rods, lots of people have proven them to very high hp numbers but people have done very high numbers on stock 1g rods too. Pauters, Carrillos, Modern Automotive (Howards), Crower, Manley, Olivers. These are just a few of the high end choices available.
As far as the pistons, Wiseco's are a good choice, along with JE and Ross.
I guess if it were me rebuilding to just run E85 and 16g, I'd do stock 1g rods and a set of forged pistons, plenty capable of anything that turbo can throw at it. But if someday you get tired of the 16g and want to go big, then you may as well go big the first time out and not have to do it again down the road.
If you want good cams and dont want to spend a lot of money, I've found a nice set of FFWD Connection cams seem to perform quite well.

The only problem with 1g rods is that you have to have them machined to work with aftermarket pistons, not worth the effort IMHO. We've used Eagles up to 700whp and for the price they're hard to beat...

+1 to stock rods and 2g pistons. I'm finding it takes more effort and money to keep the damn head sealed on the engine than keeping the rods in there. Ask sleepy, he knows this also.

Well mid last week, I had ordered up some parts. Manely rods, pistons, valves, springs and retainers, and kelford cams.
