Battery cut off switch?

So I am in the process of finishing up my kill switch install and I had a question on the wiring for the alternator. I am running this set up to be NHRA legal and already have the batter sealed in a vented box and the power side wired into the switch to disconnect. I am about to wire in the alternator to the switch as well and I am curious if the best way is just to run 4 gauge from the alt. back to the battery side of the switch and run the factory power leads ( off the alt. ) to the break side of the switch? In this configuration, once the switch is cut, the power will be cut from the main and the alt. charging will end with the positive side of the battery. Would this be sufficient?

A easier way of doing it is have the "alternator" side of the switch kill the fuel pump and or the ecu. Unless you want to run the alternator wires all the way back to the kill switch as well then the 4 gauge wire would work.

I like the idea of cutting power to the ECU, good thinking!!!
I was going to do the alternator also...

Cutting power to the fuel pump would work but I want something more instant.
