FS 97 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder GSX
I have a 1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder GST Convertible that I have been working on for about 3 years. I have come along way since I bought it from my buddy as all stock with a blown motor. One of the main things that I did to it was convert it to AWD GSX. Here is a list of mods that are done to the car.
It has Boston component speakers and it also has a new top, convertible boot cover for when the top is down, new tires and brakes, and all of the other parts on the car only have a few thousand miles max but most under 1000 miles. Engine: 6 bolt 2.3 Wiseco pistons Eagle Rods BS Eliminate ACL Race Main and Rod Bearings Intake: 4" intake w/ AEM dry technologies filter 2.5: SS Intercooler Piping Short Route 34x10x3.5 Intercooler Venom SMIM Turbosmart 50mm BOV Head: SS Valves Crower 414 cams Dual valvesprings Titanium retainers A-1 Head Studs Permatorque HG Exhaust: SS 3" 02 with 38mm Tial mini WG 3" SS Downpipe 3" SS Exhaust w/ Magnaflow Clutch: Fidanza flywheel ACT 2900 PP ACT 6 puck sprung disk SS clutch line by tranny Fuel: E-85 Walbro 310 pump with a Boost-a-pump 1600cc injectors AEM fuel rail Aeromotive FPR SS lines under hood Tuning/Electronics: DSMLink MAF Translator Stock Coil w/ dynatek AEM wideband Tranny: Shep Stage 4 Turbo: SCM6152rs Ball bearing running 32 psi Alot more parts but I can't think of them all off of the top of my head right now. Tuned by Shane at DB and made 484hp/405tq at 32psi falling off to 30psi on e85. It fully spools at 32psi by 4400rpm. This is on a low reading Dyno Dynamics dyno so it should be around 560whp on a dyno jet. Actual weight of this car without driver was last weighed at 3180 with gas in it. With a stiffer or dual springs in the new slim tial 38mm v band wastegate this thing WILL dyno over 500hp at DB. I only have a 1 bar spring in the wastegate so the 484hp was only at about 30psi. With a bigger turbo this thing would be way more then 500hp. I have way way too much into this car and am going to loose my azz on it but everything is done and done right. I have daily drove it for a while and its perfect. I had an issue with it smoking at idle so I tore off the turbo setup and was about ready to send it out when i noticed that all it is is a valve stem seal on the exhaust side that leaks a bit. the manifold and exhaust port was a little oily when i took off the manifold and turbo. it is just on and all of the other ones are good. I will work something out in the price for this issue. Price is $15,250. Well over $30,000 invested into the car. If you dont like the price then thats fine because Ill just keep it then.
