Fines based on income isn't the worst idea. I'm fairly surprised that a politician hasn't tried it here. Everyone hates the rich, right?

I'm not talking about income tax. The whole point in speeding tickets is that they should act as a deterrent. If the fine is puny compared to your wealth then you might not give frack and just do whatever you want.

Kinda like me skipping the front license plate. If that fine were $2k then I'd definitely be sporting one. lol.

I think all fines and penalties should be based on income. Why do you think the rich do what they want? Because it's easy for them to pay a $200 fine for speeding where as for most of us it hurts like a mofo.

I agree and disagree with this...the front plate thing is a good example.

However, 311 is right. Most shit like that is a way to generate more income for the governments because all they do is spend money and don't generate shit.

So basically the more you make, the more you pay in everything.

Fucking tabs on my X this year are 330, last year was like 370...I am sure you know that feeling Lomker. It's BS...we already had to pay a ton of sales tax now because our cars are newer we pay more for tabs...f the gov't. Mind as well never spend money on nice things, us people with money should horde it and then everyone is screwed.

They do what they want because they earned it, if they want to do things that they will get fined for. Whatever. Damn near everyone on here has a loud exhaust or has speed sometime in their life.

I don't think fines should be summed together with income at all. What about unemployed people who make $0 a month? maybe they would speed around and do whatever they wanted because their ticket would cost them pocket change. And besides all of that, it seems like a strong case of profiling. I'm sure a lot more cops would go after more expensive looking vehicles because then they could hand out more expensive tickets. That system would be flawed as balls.

That's the difference between people with good incomes and people with wealth. The wealthy don't spend money. I'm in debt up to my ears but I could drop dead tomorrow so why not? I have all kinds of bad attitude when it comes that. lol.
