Anyone know of an automotive related/retail place hiring??

I have 3 years retail (2 years at radioshack, 1 year at o'reilly)
and 2 years at Ramsey County Public Works, in the Sign Department.

I need at least $11 an hour and i'm a morning person :)

I have a AAS Degree in Automotive Technology from Century College (Idk if thats good or bad to mention haha)

I live in white bear lake and have a Valid DL, Personal car and Insurance.

Probably not a choice you really want, but you can apply to Valvoline Instant Oil Change as an Asst. Manager. $11 min starting, they do have benefits available, usually done working no later than 7pm, and relatively fast advancement to store manager if you want it.

Tough not to in this economy. I know a few people making 70% less than they were making 5 years ago.

I use to work at valvoline just recently, its a good place to meet good people, but the work is wreckless for 11 an hour. always wrenching fast, oil changes, oil on your neck and back, winters coming up, drips all over you all the time. The the stress of having to sell sell sell. Just not that legit of a place for 11 $ to me..

Yeah, I've worked there for over a year and a half now. You do gotta sell, and the pace is pretty fast. But that also depends on the shop you work at. I've worked at a low volume, mid volume, and high volume. Its not that bad. Just sucks when you get short staffed, just like any job.

If you are in a bind and need a job quick. I would say check out Best buy. lol. I needed a job in a hurry and got hired here at the one in Bismarck doing car electronics installs. I have been here 2 years and make just under 12/hr. Not a bad place to work. Not sure if there is one close to you or not. As long as you have some experience they start you at at good pay(at least here did) and offer good raises for taking any MECP9 Mobile electronics Certified Professionals) test. I think its a $1.00 raise just for passing a test.

Just an idea if you need a job quick. Wouldn't have to be anything permanent, I'm looking for a job in an actual shop.
