Happy F*cking New Year.
 

So last night I decided to meet up with one of my coworkers and his gf at Primetime in Burnsville. At about 12:45 he comes running in from having a cigarette and tells me to come outside cuz my car just got smashed into. I walked out to find this:

Some guy was parked in a handicapped spot and got a ticket for it. Apparently this threw him into a fit of rage, so he got in his Tahoe, threw it in 4wd, put it in reverse and floored the shit out of it. Causing him to bounce off the white Trailblazer parked next to me, hit my car square on the corner pushing it into the Mazda 3 next to me, ripped my bumper off, then continued to rip part of the bumper off of that car too.

I dunno if he was too drunk to realize what he did or what, but he then drove away. Witnesses got his license plate number and it was provided to the police, but I'm still waiting to hear back if the guy has any kind of insurance. If he doesn't, I'm fucked because I have only liability on my car.

So if anyone sees a gold Chevy Tahoe with a smashed up left side, missing a mirror please beat the fuck out of him for me.

That really sucks though man. Hopefully the douchebag has insurance and you'll get taken care of.

I dunno. I called the officer's voice mail today and left a message, but haven't heard back yet. I really hope they find him. Also, he said the Tahoe was registered to an address somewhere in Minneapolis.

Get the address and we will go visit him :). If the cops won't give it to you, give the plate number to a PI.

I know I pay for an uninsured/uninsured motorist coverage with my car insurance because its state law, to cover me if the other party has no insurance. Im pretty sure it is mandatory to have this coverage in Minnesota, are you sure you dont have this coverage? You probably are paying for it.

Just to ease your mind that the guy in the tahoe has no insurance.

you can do a dmv search or a car-facts to get the name of the owner then see if you can get the cameras from that mall area ?

I would,but I never got the plate number... As far as the uninsured/underinsured motorist thing, I'll have to look into that.

WOO HOO! I just got a call from the officer handling the case and he gave me all the info I'll need to make a claim on his insurance! Tomorrow Progressive will be getting a call
