Well I did the Change added MT-90 and my tranny shifts like brand new again. Considering putting it into gear it would grind and stutter going in it was annoying and now everything is great. I put on about 2 miles of city driving and didn't notice a thing well I was pissed saying what a waste of money. Well after about 5 miles more my tranny was like brand new again and its no Joke. You Guys are stupid if you have not yet bought it. Best 35.00 i have spent on my car.

I switched to redline as well on my dsm, and now i'll be spending probably another $100 on the redline products for the truck!!! ATF i hope its cheap ;)

Redline is my favorite tranny fluid.

i dont like the idea of having redline in my tranny because of the fact that it is a friction inhibitor which helps you shift better. down side is that it takes a way from tranny life which nobody really cares about but i plan to move to florida once im done with school and i want my green blob to make it. thats why im just gonna stick to a higher grade regular tranny oil.

How does it take away form the life of the tranny? If there is less friction on the parts they will last longer...

I assume that redline is synthetic.. therefore it will work better than non-synthetic goo that is "higher" grade.

You read what stuff? I run GM Synchromesh. I had always heard great stuff about it, but I am not impressed with it what so ever, waste of my damn money. I thiink next ill be trying that BG Synchroshift and see how that does. My shifting is notchy, doesn't just slide into 2nd, its real notchy.

Well if any of you would have drove my car when it was really notchy before and now 500 miles later like brand new you would probably talk differntly about what it can do.

From what i have read off a site was that your syncros will syncronize better because of more friction that the redline gives and this is why i dont want it in my tranny.

Personally im all for having 'stick' thats suspose to stick, and stuff that doesn't stick well, shouldn't stick.
thats why the fluids in my car are:
mobil 1 synthetic 0w-40 or 20w-50, pending season
redline fluids in all drivetrain
motul 600 in brakes and clutch
and some pos p.s. fluid!
anything else would be uncivilized :jammin:
to each its own, redline is an awesome fluid imo, and I've tried a lot of other items, use to 'stick' to my 'napa oil' until I switched over.

My personal opinion of redline is that it can suck my left nut. I would use water before redline....oh wait, it's the same thing. :fworld:

So how does redline reduce tranny life? Because it has a little more friction so the syncros actualy work, so this must cause wear somewhere else? no. I have drained many trannys, almost all come out gold/metalic and crappy. We need to use GL-4 or lower grade fluid. Other wise syncros and bearlings get eaten up, causing way to much damage($500 or more). Also the redline is a synthetic there for not breaking down under high temp and stress levels. I just did a big race with a mustang and my tranny turned to a slush box because of my wonderfull fluid in there. So I plan on putting in redline and it should hold up to the high heat and stress of 500+whp and 155+mph.
