Competition Clutch DSM Twin Disc Review

Hey guys, I want to share my experience with my new clutch setup. I wrote it in Word and exported it as a JPEG so it would be easier to update multiple forums as needed.

Everything I've heard about the comp stage 4 (ON DSM's ONLY) has been great. Brad and Kevin 1g drummer both ran it for quite a while with good results I know.

BOO! I hated that clutch! Material was missing after a few 100 miles. Make sure you use an OEM throw out bearing too. Should of did the ACT 2600/6 puck sprung.

Also this thread is about the twin disc clucth not the stage 4. You should keep this thread clean and not cluttered.

I apologize for getting off topic. If you don't mind me asking, what's wrong with the throwout provided? I used it :/.
I initially wanted the 2600 kit but didn't have the cash.
I was so bummed from my 2100 disk breaking, followed by the pressure plate that messed up my perfect trans, i wanted to try something else.

needtoinsert, don't worry about what Cornfed said. 6 pucks commonly have material break off in certain areas after only a little bit of driving. It's not like they completely fall apart. The clutch I replaced my twin disc with was an ACT2600 with a 6 puck sprung disc. Guess what, material missing after 400ish miles.

Re: Competition Clutch DSM Twin Disc Review

I LOVED my CC stage 4 clutch. It was cheap and held almost everything I could throw at it. It held around 500ftlb at db uncorrected after spraying it and then it slipped after going to go do a street pull. That was with a decent amount of miles on it and some runs down a track. If I could go back I'd would have never gotten a twin disc, kept the stage 4, and been happy running high 10s and having a reliable car instead of always going for more
