Re: Presidential quiz
Take the quiz and show us those results :)
Similarities and differences between Romney and Obama http://www.isidewith.com/obama-vs-romney-on-the-issues The following boggle my mind, wtf Romney? Is Global Warming a threat to the environment? Barack Obama: Yes Mitt Romney: No, global warming and cooling are natural cycles beyond our controlP2 C4 Should U.S. National Parks and Forests continue to be preserved and protected by the federal government? Barack Obama: Yes, and expand the government’s domain to protect more landP3 C4 Mitt Romney: No |
Re: Presidential quiz
I agree emphatically with Romney on the first one, not sure about the second, but I sure as hell wouldn't expand the government's domain, they can't afford to keep up what they already have.

Re: Presidential quiz
I got Jill Stein than Obama.
That makes me a hippie right? |

While expanding I dont agree with right now, taking away from protecting land is not right. There is no perfect candidate for me. Obamney seems like one unit in a lot of aspects. |

Re: Presidential quiz
You guys who are "Greenies", do you realize that it doesn't matter? We all breath the same air and the oceans all blend together, there's no vertical wall that separates heavy polluting countries from us and the rest of the world. China has some of the worst environmental regulations, if any at all, yet we have let ourselves be sold out to them. Why have we let American companies move their production to those countries, why hasn't our government banned the importation of products from those "dirty" countries if the environment is so important? Why has our government used outrageous and overbearing EPA regulations to stop us from producing products here, if China can get away with it unchecked?
So I ask again, why does it matter? |
Re: Presidential quiz
Amen.
|
Re: Presidential quiz
Just because the neighbor down the street is an asshole doesn't make it alright for you to be one too.
Our country has definitely done its share of polluting, but over time people started caring and things changed. Eventually this will probably happen with China, but dont expect any external force to push them into anything. |
Re: Presidential quiz
You do realize that America is the biggest economy/market on the planet, or at least was until recently. If we wanted to make the world more environmentally friendly, we could make those who wish to manufacture products for sale in USA do what ever it takes to clean up their act to have access to our market. It's just that simple, don't let anybody fool you into thinking otherwise.

Re: Presidential quiz
Okay buddy. Thanks for the easy solution! 1ViscousGSX for prez!

Re: Presidential quiz
Just to refresh your memory, there was a big environmental scare in the 70's as well when the "experts" thought we were going into massive global cooling from pollution. We all know how that turned out, the same applies here. It's real simple, follow the money.
|
Re: Presidential quiz
Why would anyone ever think pollution is okay? Do you enjoy smog?
BRB i'm gonna go change my oil and dump it into the sewer! Its just so easy and impacts nothing! |
Re: Presidential quiz
Saying one doesn't agree with liberal scare tactics concerning global warming doesn't mean someone wants pollution. Kinda like if someone doesn't agree with same sex marriage, doesn't mean they are "anti-gay", it simply means they have a difference of opinion. Libs love to state "you're an asshole if you don't agree with us", so much for so-called tolerance.

As soon as I say I'm against "gay marriage" people go crazy on me before stopping and listening to what exactly my opinion is. If they'd lose the attitude and hostility they'd realize I'm all for legalizing gay unions with the same rights as traditional marriage, just with a different term/name for it. |
Re: Presidential quiz
I didnt start the argument here. I simply posted my quiz results and then was called out for being a greenie followed by an opinion piece about why "non of it matters."
Keep up the good work. |
Re: Presidential quiz
Wow.. its not even about being liberal or not. lol Because im definitely an independent and share views from both sides.
I agree with Super, China may change its ways down the road once their economy gets to a certain point where they choose to create such programs to help the world in better practices. We shouldnt stop trying to make the environment a better place over time. If you cant see that humans are harming the environment on a general scale, then you are blind. And it doesnt matter? Yea, screw the future! lol Regardless, being green is a big issue these days, but our economy is a bit bigger issue. I posted this thread to see where people stand based on the quiz, because I was a bit surprised in what came up for me and I wanted to see others actual results, even though they think they are either dem or rep in their views. |
