correct way to vent with smim,gm maf.

This one is another one where I read 15 people disagree about the best or correct way to vent the crank case with a smim and a gm maf. If anyone knows the correct way to do this please chime in.
The way it is now is two -8 an lines from the valve cover to a catch can with a filter on the top. no pcv.

Search on tuners for a thread by the user "calan"
That is what you need to know about catch cans.

turbotalon I did read that thread and many others just did not see one for the gm blow through settup, but I will check again.

How you vent the crankcase doesn't really have much to do with the maf you decide to run. Are you talking about venting the bov?

Shouldn't matter what type of air metering you have.

Yeah, those two things have nothing to do with each other.

Actually they can, it depends on the way the system is setup though. If you have the stock PCV to intake manifold hose and then an open breather or open catch can on the breather port, then you have created an unmetered port for air to get into the intake manifold during vacuum situations.

exactly thats why I asked about the gm maf as its in the upper intercooler pipe. I decided fix for now by using a pcv to inline fuel filter sitting sideways to the intake manifold. the breather is to a catch can and into the intake pipe. I'll call it good enough for now as the car spends it's life in the shop for now anyways. just wondering how people with gm maf have overcome the pcv issue. I really need to upgrade to v3 and get speed density.
