You never know what you'll find on a nice Sunday Afternoon cruise. I was driving down a road close to where I live and spotted the nose of a blacked out 5th Gen about to pull out of a driveway that exits from a tree line. All I could see was the front cap sticking out, so I wrapped the throttle as I was passing by. As I passed I noticed there was much more to it than just being black. The owner pulled out after I passed heading in my direction so I pulled off into an empty parking lot hoping he would stop. We talked for 30-40 minutes about El Co's and performance stuff in general. He was actually on his way to a friends shop to start pulling the engine and get it ready for a built 383cid stroker with a 671 blower on top of it. The engine is getting dynoed this week. Oh, and this is his daily driver.

Ummm, sorry guys, but my '69 is American made muscle. Built in Kansas City, MO.

Now that '80s model could have been built in USA, Mexico or Canada. Without his VIN I can't say for sure where.

And it's stone cold conservative, get it right. LOL

That could be true, but I don't know about the Canadian market. It wouldn't surpirse me if GM had plants pumping them out there.
