I was just thinking, while I was sitting here at my desk, that I really don't like car payments. I think as soon as my 240 is paid off, I'm not going to take out any more car loans. I'll probably never be able to buy a new Lexus, but I really don't like making car payments.
Who needs a new Evo, when you can just get a Kia instead. Ahh shit, maybe I'll buy a new car someday, but I wont be making payments on it though. :blah: That's my random thought of the day, week, month whatever. |
Josh and I were talking about this last night. I said I have no interest in ever owning a new car. Once you you know at least some general car maintenance there is no reason to buy a new car. Buy used and fix it yourself. The next car or two I plan on buying will hopefully be cheap and turn into projects.

Buy 2 or 3 year old car, from the first owner, and be happy with it for another 10 years. then sell it to college kid..
about the only car i'd buy new would be a s4,s6,m5, and a few select exotics... anything else would be a used vehicle. it sux having $4400 in loans every month.. and i'm looking forward on cutting that down but as life goes on i am really hoping to raise that number by quite a bit every year.. -E |
I'm not really talking about buying a $2,000 beater, and being able to keep it running. I'm more interested in being able to pay $15,000 cash for a nice car I can drive for 10 years like Enes said. I wont be able to do that for a while, but I guess what I'm getting at is if I'm going to be making a payment every month, I'd rather it be torwards something that appreciates in value, like a house. :D
