1G Dual Rear Strut Bars

So this weekend while I was removing some of the panels in the hatch of my Laser (I have a bunch I'm replacing), I decided to start pulling the rear seat belts. They're a pain in the ass and will never get used, so why not pull them. Anyways, since there is the big ass cover/panel/shield/whatever that covers the upper seatbelt mechanism, by removing that it leaves two excellent support points for something. Has anyone ever used that for mounting points of a rear strut bar, granted it wouldn't technically still be a strut bar? I know it would probably be extreme overkill, but what about running dual rear strut tower bars? I highly doubt there is a bar specially made to mount to the seat belt mounts however I don't forsee it being difficult to fabricate one.

Just tossing around ideas and looking for some people's $0.02. :)

I will soon start ripping into my 1g again and will understand what you are talking about. As you describe it, the way it sounds to me is another good point for welding in a cage. my $.02
