I have a headless 6 bolt block that QPR is gonna throw in a 90 TSI for me.I found a 92 NT head($45) , these are the same as a turbo head right(with an exception of the cams)? Also it looks like somebody robbed the CAS of the my old head, so I need to buy one of those too. Aren't the 90 CAS's different from the rest of the 1Gs?

I think they differ from 6bolt to 7bolt.......

They are the same. The only exception I can think of is if the turbo oil feed hole on the passenger side of the head isn't machined in on the NT. Either way it'd be easy to drill and tap it anyways.

The only difference on the 93-94 head is the coolant passages are supposedly larger.

What about the cam sensors? Do I have to look for a 90 or will any 1G turbo work?

u do not need to tap the new head for the oil feed. Just buy yourself a SS Braided feedline and tap it off the oil filter housing. It'll make it easier on u by not having to tap the head, plus your turbo will be receiving freshly filtered oil from there, where as normally you'd be getting it from the head which is basically the end of the oil path so its not as filtered as it would be if u got it from the oil filter housing. Just look at the link, the picture explains it better than i can. and yes that head will work, just gotta put in turbo cams. and sorry i have no clue about the CAS.

Use the one that came with your 90. I think the plug was different on the 90's but the operation is the same. Worst case scenario you'd need to rewire the plug.

The cas sensors are completely different between the years, they don't interchange very well and deffently don't play nice together, the only thing worse is 95-96 heads in 99 cars (aka ricky's). The cams are different, I actually think the cams might not be swapable between nt and turbo, I don't remember. I am sure there are many other differences like oil passages.
Also on 7 bolt motors, the headstud/bolt diameter is actually different, so 7 bolt heads have to be drilled over 1mm to interchange with 6 bolts (or is the other way around, im tired, sorry).
I think the cas pickups with the different 1g sensors are interchangeable, in that case i'd suggest putting the 90 cas in.
Also I think the valvetrain might be different, I really don't remember, and am to lazy to try to remember/research this more, maybe tommorrow.
