Compression Test Results 2
I did a compression test on my car yesterday and it came out:
#1-145 #2-147 #3-148 #4-145 I just did a 6Bolt swap with topline rebuild kit,i forget what compression pistons they are.(8:1) Is that a normal results? There is about 200 miles on the rebuild. and the car was warm but maybe not running temp. I know that they are sapose to be what 10% of eachother or something, but I would like to know if this is normal. Mike |

If the motor was just rebuilt with 8:1 pistons, that is low. Did you do the valves as well?

Re: Compression Test Results 2
I did nothing to the head. when i bought it the guy told me it was rebuilt like 3000 mile before i bought it. I dont know if that is true but it looked clean and good from what i could tell. but im a narnar with that stuff so im not 100% sure.

Maybe the rings aren't broken in yet. That is pretty low though.

Re: Compression Test Results 2
Put a few thousand more miles on it and check it again at full operation temp. Make sure to keep using conventional oil during break-in.
