AFC 5 knob VS SAFC 1

What are the main benefits of the SAFC 1 over the 5 knob. I know that the 5 knob only has 5 set adjustment points and that the newer SAFC 1 has 8 adjustable adjustment points, but the 5 knobs look way cooler and are a ton cheaper. any comments on which one you'd recomend for a mildly modded 1g AWD,
big ( ) 16G 550's and a 255, and a MBC (of course).
I will be getting a Datalogger soon, so i know how it needs to be tuned.
So im just looking for opinions on the 5 knob VS the SAFC 1.

The older 5 knob SAFC also doesn't have different setting for low vs high throttle nor does it have as much of an adjustment range.

I wouldn't buy a 5 knob one. I'd stick with the safc 1 since they are not hard to find and aren't all that expensive. I think it would be much easier to tune with.

Al Blaha ran 10.5 at 132 on the old 5-knob.

But they're right, while the SAFC II is a bit more complex in operation....it has a little more adjustability to help with tuning. And personally, I hate the 2nd gen SAFC II. That damn knob is a PITA. I prefer the old buttons.

Yep, that joystick thing is a piece of shit. They use a joystick thing on the the little Apexi turbo timer now too, and it's annoying on that thing also.

I used the five knob on my 95 gsx and I now have the safcII the biggest difference I noticed was in gas milage because of the HI LO settings. I did like the simplicity of the five knob though.
