1g Dash/speedo
I replaced my gauge cluster yesterday with another one and the speedo needle falls all the way down to the bottom. I thought maybe it was the cluster, so I put my old one back in and it still falls all the way to the bottom. It pretty much reads 10-16 mph off. Anyone know how to fix this? Please let me know.

Re: 1g Dash/speedo
When you take it apart you need to spin the needle counterclockwise all the way around and back to 0. The needle can only go from a 0-145 radius, so if its off it will go further (like in your case) or higher than 0 if its off. Its strange that both off them do that though.
Did you take the clusters apart? I would take it apart and reset the needle, just be VERY careful not to hit the coolant or oil or fuel needles because they are very touchy and can move by themselves if you tap the case even a little. |
Re: 1g Dash/speedo
Does it get farther off as you go faster? It could be the speedo cable in that case. If it is a certain # off and stays there, then I would do what Peter said.
