anyone have the problem of their door starts to rub against the front fender. yeah i cant open mine now wtf
|
I did, but I just took a screwdriver and a rag, and bent the fender out so it's actually sitting out further then the door. And it hasn't rubed since.

Is bent in alot from the door catching it and pushing on it. You can kind of see in this picture.

GRR. i guess some ice built up and started it at the bottom i got the top part pulled. thanks nash

Have you tried re-aligning the fender?
|
If the car is old it could be the hinges rusting out. Try opening the door and lift on it. If there is play this could be your problem. I had that problem on my old car (Nash's black one) on the driver side. It got so bad that the door wouldn't even close. Had to reinforce the hinge. Those doors are quite heavy and long and the stress plus corrorion takes a toll on the plate those hinges are bolted to.

how much play? its acting up again. re-align the fender? wtf?
|
Just take a pry bar and a rag and bend/arch the fender out in the middle as much as possible carefully. Do it about 1/4 inch if you need.
