Snowboarding Monday @ Afton
 

Anyone up for some snowboarding next Monday at Afton Alps. From 9-4 it's only $16. I was thinking of taking the day off and heading out there.

I'm heading out there with a couple friends. I'll be teaching them at the small bunny hill, so if you're bored and need someone to ride with come over there and get me. You'll notice us, we'll all be asian. :D. I'll a black jacket with a grey hat on and will probably be the only one with goggles on.

Winter Break! :D. Too bad the weather isnt going to be in the 30's like how it was this past week.

I have 88 hours saved up and I'll be damned if I'm going to waste a day when it's all going to be paid back to me in 2 weeks.

Let me know if any of you want to head out this weekend. I also have the Monday/Friday off before and after Christmas and New Years and hope to get out then, too.

Went to Afton today. 9 hrs, it was pretty fun. I hadn't been snowboarding for like 6 years. We used to go all the time back in junior/high school, but ya it's been about 6 years. I figured I'd have to learn all over again, but I did pretty damn good. No problems going down the hills at all, but I gotta get my balance down again when going off jumps. I went off a jump about 30 minutes after getting there, figured since I was doing good with everything else, then why not hit some jumps. Ya , landed on my shoulders/neck. By the end of the day i was able to just get air and land, but it wasn't the smoothest looking. Started going off some table tops for the last hour. Couldn't get that damn 90* board slide down. I was making it down just fine, but for the dismount, i just couldn't get the board back around.

Anywho, it was awesome, prolly going again next friday!
